I agree somewhat with 3.3, but most of the games that took off that you mentioned were nostalgia titles. The gap is even closing in America, which is the struggling market for the PS3 (if you call can even call it that). This is a subjective opinion based discussion. Most of the people that are even posting do own both consoles, it's just that we have our OPINION on which is best. Well, if you played the former, then you'll LOVE this one. If you didn't, I could see how you would feel lost and a bit confused AT TIMES, but really it could be a standalone title. Why you would let someone review the game that has NEVER played the others, or didn't like the others is beyone me.

If you have played the game, you know it wasn't over rated. I just wish that 360 fans could experience it. The story is AMAZING, the gameplay is improved, I blast my way through most stages, just because it's not a death note to be seen in this game. It deserves 9 or above, Period. Just play the game before commenting.
I agree, I linked up my PS3 with my network and I watch anything I want on the PS3, it's connected my computer to my big screen without the Fuzz or hastle of having both in the same room. I play my Blu-ray, my DVD's. All through HDMI cables, not component. I'm still having a little trouble with most AVI formats, but that will change as they update the firmware. My PS3 was the best purchase I've had, it's my entertainment center, and it's finally not windows based (thank god).
360 is actually coming out with a couple of titles I'll be interested in. I bought the 360 back when oblivion first came out. That's why I bought it. And that's the only game I like on the system. Ohhhh, now come one. I actually like my six axis, it's light as a feather, which may scream cheap but I remember another really light controller that I still enjoy (NES, SNES). But I agree, this isn't a big loss. I'm glad Europe is getting more attention though. 360 and PS3 FTW.
I know this is just Fanboy fodder most of the time. But really guys, aren't you proud??? We may own different consoles but look at the number of gamers in general this gen... It's astonishing. We used to be a more exclusive club. I'm very proud to be an Atari 1980's beggining gamer. But I'm also very proud that the numbers, despite who is winning, are very strong for gamers in general. 360, PS3 FTW!!!
I agree with Kas. I own both consoles and I prefer the PS3. But it depends on your gaming preference. If you like to shoot things and like competitive gaming, 360 is probably your best bet. I haven't touched my 360 in a while. I'm waiting for Fable 2, gears was only so-so to begin with, I own it, it's ok. Infinite Undiscovery looks good. I just think PS3 has more to offer me. MGS4 is the best game I've played for any system this gen, I'll stand behind that statement.

Wow blade... Anyway, I played it on my nintedo, I didn't play the original sadly :( Anyway, MGS4 has done nothing but impress me thus far (just finished Act 4) brilliant game. I'm glad I played all the others. I did miss portable ops however for the PSP.
It's hard to ignore her, that's for sure. She's talking to Otacon and says "I know it's easy to forget I'm a woman sometimes Dr. Emmerich"... I laughed out loud. It's hard to forget, they keep zooming in on her.
My girl loves the story as well, she won't play it ( I think she thinks I'll see her do poorly at something and be ashamed, I don't know) but she does back seat play, like "Go crawl under that" or "See if you can take that guy down like this without those other three seeing you". She has fun with it, I've died a few times, but it's a bonding experience.
