I'd be lying if I said I possessed no brand loyalty. Anyone who follows my comments knows I am a big Nintendo fan and I tend to gravitate toward their platforms and games.
However, I have tastes that expand beyond that. I own a PC that can play a few games, a PS3 and a 360. I love my PS3. I love the games I play on it. I used to love my 360, but after it broke and I had to go through three more, I'm done with Microsoft's faulty products and lousy online service. ...
Because Sony's financial situation would be that much better if most of their fans were shitting on them and demanding they change their entire business strategy. /s
Your sense of logic is truly astounding. Oh, and the Wii had it's fair shake of good core games. Xenoblade, Donkey Kong Country Returns, House of the Dead Overkill and No More Heroes, just to name a few.
@torchic
You're a complete moron if you honestly believe I'm incapable of seeing faults in something, whether or not I'm a fan of it. Alright I'll give you an example that's not Nintendo related.
I love the Double Fine game Brutal Legend. Love it to death. But I can certainly acknowledge why the game is extremely niche. It has balancing issues and does not segue the player into the RTS battle gameplay as it should have and that put a lot o...
More like half a decade. The Gamecube was a console meant for the core gamer. It just suffered from poor third party support like the 64.
Uhh, wait 'till Thursday?
@LordMe
This. Absolutely this. I always get the same criticism for saying how I enjoy supporting the people who make the games I enjoy.
As far as I'm concerned, piracy is theft and modding a platform can and probably eventually will lead to piracy on that platform which leads to more crappy regulations pushed on to the consumer.
This is in response to a recent rumor that the 720 is facing issues with its hardware (possibly modified Gamecube tech) and that Microsoft is outsourcing it to three different factories to try and fix the problem. This is apparently causing the 'delay.'
Of course it's all rumor. So this post here is all just speculation pretending to be factual.
That doesn't matter. Apparently the people who hate Call of Duty are a minority on the internet, because last I checked MW3 sold over 6 million copies very quickly.
That means that as far as it goes, it's still a very healthy and successful franchise. The people who are buying the games are not relevant at that point.
If it makes money, it's successful. Period. That's it. There's no working any way around that other than being hateful or a...
I've read a ton of previews, many of which were from the E3 show floor with people saying how great the Wii U is to play. Same goes for CES.
I've read bad ones too, but it's a small handful out of the dozens of positive previews I read. If you're going to be a troll, the least you can do is stick to facts and not spout misinformation.
@Mika
So you criticize someone for being insulting by... being insulting?
@Mika
Out of curiosity, does it ever get boring trolling Nintendo articles?
So? The 360, PS3 and PC all have a ton of ports.
Given statements made by Ubisoft that porting games to the Wii U is quick, easy and above all cheap I'm not really seeing how the resources thing is an issue, especially since it's a large scale publisher and not just a small time indie dev working on Bioshock Infinite.
You create an install base by making games. Or so people tell me every time I get into a debate about the Vita.
That's bittersweet, to say the least. For one it's great the Wii U is getting more 3rd party support. On the other it's a shame that it doesn't seem to be taken very seriously.
Aside from voice acting, not much (and by that I mean the franchise could use voice acting as long as Link stays silent). They're two completely different franchises. Just because they both use medieval fantasy as a theme doesn't mean they're necessarily similar in design and gameplay.
Yeah I'm aware. That's the sad part about it. I'd rather not see anymore Rare licenses given such bad treatment.
I mean, it's bad enough the game was nothing like its predecessors outside of the name and characters used, but I didn't even enjoy the game very much as far as the gameplay went. Rare just isn't the developer it used to be, so I'm not sure I even want them to announce new sequels to their older franchises.
Well, the original comment was speaking primarily about DLC. Capcom must be expecting very minimal bandwidth restrictions on the upcoming 720 and PS4.
Given Microsoft's track record with Valve DLC, I wouldn't bet on that sort of wishful thinking. Sony's a different story though.
I'm probably not getting the game, not at full price anyway, but truth be told something like this doesn't really have anything to do with the game itself. I mean Capcom can treat their employees awfully, but that doesn't mean said employees are not creating a great/bad game. That's not the dependent factor.
They ignored it by doing exactly what the Wii did?
I don't know where you've been the last few years, but Microsoft and Sony have been pushing their respective motion control devices for some time now.
