Pre-orders are already gone, so it's not like no one's interested in this thing. That said I can understand why people are waiting. $350 is a little steep if you go by what Nintendo has done historically.
Personally I'll get mine launch day. I'm a Nintendo fan and I'm excited for it. Hoping to get ZombiU, Pikmin 3 and Assassin's Creed III on launch day.
I don't think it's worth just letting it go. I think that behavior like this should be condemned by gamers (which thankfully in this instance it has been, by at least a few). It makes gamers in general look like pretty much what the headline suggests.
Of course! Keep an eye out on YouTube during launch day. Guaranteed someone will upload a video of them destroying a Wii U in front of a line of people waiting to get one.
Exactly. I think we're passed the time of 'Virtual Boy' platforms. The Vita is struggling to find an audience and the primary reasons are its library and price. Both of those are bound to change. The same can be said for the Wii U.

Depends on the person. I don't 'hate' Sony or Microsoft (though I'm not very fond of Microsoft anymore) I just happen to like Nintendo more than Sony. That's basically all it boils down to.

See, it's not really an opinion when you're factually wrong. You can't have the opinion that the Wii U is a generation behind with its tech. Look at the specs. They're not current generation. Not by a long shot.
Honestly at this point, if you honestly think the Wii U's specs are on par with current generation consoles, you're one of three things; a troll, an ignorant moron, or an incessant hater.
Why would the default controller on the Wii U be the Wii remote? Controllers always change from generation to generation, even Sony's. Look at the SIXAXIS controller.

Who cares? Resident Evil was not really huge on Nintendo consoles until Resident Evil 4 on the Gamecube. Sega's Sonic games were briefly exclusive to the Gamecube as well.
The point is no one would be complaining even if this was set to release on PS4 and 720 as oppose to PS3 and 360 which is not even a good argument. It's just hypocrisy.
