Me I am a gamer, I just want to play games, and really don't care about nonsense like sharing footage. I suppose it is important for some people, but I don't really see it as being the thing that causes a win in the console war.

I will buy the console that has the games that I want to play.

Welcome to the club.

I used to pre-order everything, but now I wait. Nothing worse then pre-ordering a game, picking it up on day 1 and finding out the game simply isn't that good, then seeing it on sale soon after. Lesson learned.

Talk to me when EA stops looking at gamers like we are giant open wallets for them to exploit on their road to riches, and starts making quality games again.

TV & Kinect? Don't care about that at all. So I don't agree with this article. I think that if you are releasing a GAMING console the #1 way you can win is by focusing on better games and better performance. Create a console that developers find easy to work with, and encourage them to create lots of good games for you. Do that and the gamers will come.

It will be interesting to see what happens when MS puts some cards on the table. Until they do, I won'...

In my opinion, that name is bad, and the concept of linking all of their devices together also doesn't sit well with me. It simply feels like they are more focused on non-game stuff, when I simply want a dependable console that offers good 1st and 3rd party games but has better performance while playing those games.

Keep the gimmicks and give me something that inspires developers to create better games.

Agreed, it also sounds like what pretentious chefs used to call their food.

If you have to prove it you are doing something wrong. The games should speak for themselves.

Don't even get me started, since I just replayed it again and reopened old wounds...

The entire Earth mission, a shallow run and gun, fighting off all the same baddies that I already fought on earlier missions, while being rushed along a linear map by the voices of faceless strangers. Such rubbish.

The really sad part is that the Earth mission could have been easily improved by replacing the voices of strangers with voices of my mates. If it was Wrex or...

Maybe I'm old fashion, but the only things I want in a next gen console are improved performance, reliability, and a good library of exclusive and third party games, oh and backwards compatibility would be nice, but not a deal breaker.

As a person who mainly plays single player games, and unplugs her consoles when not in use, yes it is a total turn off.

I generally go where the games are, however lately I have been of the opinion that a lot of game companies can no longer see the forest, because they are far to focused on the giant money trees. While I can respect a companies need to make a profit, I think too many companies put profits over customer satisfaction, which really bothers me.

So, at the moment, my plans are to wait until at least 6 months after launch, before I even consider buying a new system. If these rumo...

1 - Don't give me gimmicks - I have zero interest in motion control, or special controllers.

2 - Always online isn't wanted

3 - Don't you dare tell me that I cannot play used games on my new expensive system. ie Don't screw with my rights as a consumer.

4 - Stop trying to remake the wheel when I simply want
a console with good exclusive games, and improved gaming performance. If it can double as a movie player that wo...

Sure the Wii initially sold like hotcakes and made Nintendo millions, but they also polluted the market with shovelware and ignored the dedicated gamer while romancing the casual market. Once the casuals moved on to the next trendy gimmick, the Wii quietly faded away. So I would say, with Wii Nintendo won a battle, but lost the war.

I use Metacritic, but I ignore the angry zero scores, the obsessed fanboy 10 scores, and most of the bias professional reviews, this removes most of the bullshit and allows me to focus on the user scores that fall in the middle, because they generally give you the good and bad without all the nonsense.

I think that way too. Unless you own the company and run it single handed with no other employees you do no deserve such a high salary.

While I can respect that some CEO's live, sleep and breath their company, most are simply overpriced mouth pieces. It is greed at its finest, and one of the reason's our economy is so screwed up.

If CEO's made a more reasonable salary, companies could afford to hire more employees, and pay all of their curren...

Was it as he says and only the 'vocal minority' was upset, or is it that 'only' the vocal minority cared enough about ME3 & BioWare to complain. Perhaps those players felt upset, but didn't bother to complain.

There is no real way of knowing since those people are not talking, and I think it is sort of disrespectful for this guy to spin things the way that makes him look good.

That being said, I don't hate ME3, I have replayed it ...

@UnHoly_One

I think the reason a lot of people say that MP hurt the single player game is because prior to the release of the EC it was impossible to get the best ending, because the EMS requirements were set too high.

I guess they needed to figure out how to pay the temporary CEO's 1.03 million dollar salary, as well as John Riccitiello's $1.7 million in severance.

While I would like to believe they simply got rid of dead weight, since this is EA we are talking about they probably fired good people, and will replace them by giving the rest of their staff massive unpaid overtime, or by hiring part timers to keep from paying for their healthcare.

I dislike Capcom too, but I agree with Orbital, some of these comments are over the top. As for me, I would never even joke about burning a company to the ground, because in this day and age comments like that are not funny and they reflect badly on the gaming community.
