GTA3. Not sure I'd ever heard of the series before then but I read about 3 in some magazine or other and was intrigued enough to buy it day one. A friend from work heard I was getting it and knew enough about it to want to see it even though he had no console to play it on. He ended up buying a PS2 to play that game. Great series.
One of the things I like about console gaming is buying a system and knowing, assuming the games are there, that I won't need to buy another for 5 years or so. I don't upgrade my phone very frequently either, so I don't think I'd be happy with what this article describes.
Countless push backs…
Exaggeration is fun.
It's had two delays since getting an actual release date, and for a year we've known it would release in Spring 2016.
I certainly hope it's very similar, since these games aren't very similar to anything else.
They did, but I'm not going to bother looking for it.
Yeah same here. I just updated my icalendar with the release date even though I know perfectly well when it is.
Yeah. I'm not sure how I'll feel going back to that slower style. I've been playing Bloodborne again the last few days and I'm still blown away by that game. I am sure I'll love Dark Souls 3 though so no worries. Adapt and survive!
Oh man I will love it if the Pre-Manhattan area is Brooklyn, not because I care but because of all the people who've been crying about the change of location.

…By People Who Have the Tendency to Do That Sort of Thing
The same sort of person I saw here saying they thought Destiny would be more like No Man's Sky, because you know all the Destiny previews totally gave that impression...
Yeah I know I'm just saying instead of the Echoes I'd rather have a cool movie showing the same thing, though I know there are some rudimentary interactive elements to the Echoes. Idk they just didn't grab me.
There's nothing odd or shady about it. Either some people just want to do the fake concern thing, or they're irrational.
I'm not even sure how this is news, considering we already knew about the servers not going online until then.
Loved the beta so much I'm buying my first ever Gold edition, but I think the Tom Clancy name is only there for marketing purposes. The Clancy games used to be more realistic than average games, but now they're as unrealistic as the average game and this might be the most unrealistic Clancy game ever.
Still can't wait to play it though.
I started playing BB again to get my mind ready. What a great game. Still my favorite of this generation so far, easy. Going back to the slower Souls gameplay will be odd I think, but I'm looking forward to it.
Any gamer can name a $60 title they feel is too expensive. There are plenty of so called "AAA" games I don't feel are worth that price, but based on what I know about No Man's Sky I'll be exploring that universe on day one.
It's not fun to play? That's news to me. After the open beta I upgraded my preorder to the gold edition. I've never purchased a gold edition before so… yeah I thought it was great fun.
OT - I thought the environment was very cool for the most part, but I wasn't crazy about the Echoes. From what I understand, their reasoning was that a cutscene would take the player out of the world and interfere with immersion, but I'd rather have cutscenes than those Echo...
You're mistaken about there not being a story. The developer has stated there is a story. They also said there aren't traditional "quests", so I guess that means no missions but I don't think that's a bad thing at all.
"They aren't CD Projekt Red, Bioware or Blizzard where I can just blind buy what they release."
Bioware might be the most overrated developer going, imo. You obviously love them, and that's cool. It all comes down to personal taste.
I have no problem at all paying $60 for NMS. I won't buy Bioware's next game at any price.
Yes. No question.
Typical opinion pieces need to die… in my opinion. *updates blog with 25 page rant*
I feel that way about many so called "AAA" releases. I don't feel that way at all about No Man's Sky. Day one, no question.
