It's not that we need different levels of indie, it's just that some people think AAA = Good to great game and Indie = Not worth their time.

"A AAA game, or pronounced "triple-A game", is generally a title developed by a large studio, funded by a massive budget.
These games will have a marketing budget in t...
It certainly does look worth it based on what's been shown.
I must have missed where I commented about the helicopter.
Enjoyed the beta but too many other games beckon. I might get this later though.
Exactly. My time with the open beta sold me on this game but I usually do exactly what you described there. Buying a game based on another person's opinion has burned me too many times.
If there had only been a closed beta and reaction to it was bad I'd see your point, but there was an open beta and people largely seem to have loved their time with it.
They've talked about what end game activities there will be at release, and they've talked about releasing more later.
There was also talk about the number of missions, though it was nothing specific.
I'm not a person to trust reviews anyway, so idc when review...
I just wonder who makes a console or game purchase decision based on timed DLC.
I can sort of see buying a console to play a particular timed exclusive game if you're that excited and impatient about it, especially if it's 6-12 month exclusive, but DLC?
One month timed DLC is pretty meaningless except for people who make a living streaming or posting videos. I saw one streamer who was pissed about this deal because as a streamer he needs to have fresh...
No reasonable person cares about timed exclusive DLC.
The End.
No one believes you :)
Bland. That's a strange choice of words imo. I can see not liking the gameplay, but… bland..?
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Mysticals and Sidekicks but I loved it. Sorry it's over for now.
Yeah I thought it was great. Very excited for the real deal.
Invading another player's world has been around since Demon's Souls on PS3, if not before.
"Developers bring new things to games, not PS4 and Xbox one"
Exactly.
The toolbox doesn't create or innovate.
"Like some people who have already played the game said....
It's boring."
Some people say every game is boring. Many people like this game and are excited about it. Try to deal with that while you're being so level headed.
@solid - That's cool, but I don't think the "fail" in this article is referring to individuals, but rather an overall success or failure.
As odd as it seems most gamers don't like or play even the most successful games. Call of Duty routinely breaks the 10 million mark and sometimes sells around 25 million, give or take a few, but that's a minority of the potential players when you look at the install bases at the time of each release.
Agreed. Any game can fail, but after my time with the beta and seeing the "year one" video I doubt The Division will fail.
"You'll still be able to play on the last version of the console. Just at lower settings."
Can't wait to see the "XB1 is holding back XB1.5" articles.
Why do people think reviews would be more accurate if gaming journalists got to play early on mostly empty servers?
If BC was a killer feature PS3 would have been sunk when it was removed.
End of story.
I think that's what it's meant to be, a chill out experience with some exciting moments here and there.
Imagine a normal game on the first day of release. Every live stream will be showing pretty much the same content, especially at the very beginning. Every live stream of No Man's Sky will begin on a totally different planet. Some players will want to explore those planets for a long time, others will want to get into space as soon as possible and find many world...
