"maybe for you. but my friend list says different."
Agreed. I still play it every day and so do all the people on my list who have it. It's one the most streamed console games at the moment as well. Destiny still is too, which is another game some people want to pretend is dead.
"xbox is just unstoppable."
I almost fell for it and replied as though you were serious.
@Michael - "I didn't want to do this…"
We'll keep you in our thoughts as you struggle to survive in your bizarre hostage situation, but you'll need to do better than that list. I smiled at the inclusion of a beta though, so cheers!
Having said that, I also don't agree with "the best lineup in history" in Xi's comment.
"I can't wait for this to come out on Xbox one"
Can it really be called waiting when the thing you're waiting for will never happen?
ME1 was the only game of the trilogy I finished. ME2 lost my interest quickly so I never made it to ME3 at all. If the new game is more like ME1 than the others, I'll probably check it out.
I have a feeling Bloodborne will stay the masterpiece of this series, at least for me, even though I'm very excited about this game. The slightly faster gameplay won me over after initial skepticism, and the setting was a better fit for the HP Lovecraft vibe. I just beat the final boss of the Old Hunters DLC a couple of days ago and the game still feels fresh. I'm sure I'll love DS3 though. It's my favorite series of all time for a reason.
I've also seen a...
Story wise you won't be any more lost if you skip the others but imo they should be played, with the possible exception of DS2 simply because it was made by the "B" team while the "A" team made Bloodborne.
"How has this series not become stale yet, especially for those who've been playing since Demon's Souls?"
After all these years, there's not much else like it.
I tried Lords of the Fallen to scratch my Souls itch and couldn't get into it, but I am enjoying Salt and Sanctuary so far. Obviously a different sort of game in certain ways but, also obviously, very much inspired by the Souls series.
I guess it depends on how often you use it. My nephew has a subscription and he plays a lot of games through PS Now. We played Resistance 3 and Borderlands 2 co-op when I was visiting last week. As my first experience with PS Now I was surprised at how well the games played. PS Now isn't something I'll use but if you use it enough I guess the price is justified. I'm just not the type to play old games when new ones are available on the new hardware, so most remasters aren't in...
For me the Elder Scrolls games are the best RPGs, but they're still highly repetitive. Every game ever made is repetitive. Whether it's drudgery or not depends on the player and what they want in a game. Personally, NMS looks like something I'll be into for a long time. I'll play other games as well, but I'll keep coming back. My opinion may change after I play it, but I'm just going on what I've seen so far.
If it's a simple bump in resolution I don't think it's a bad thing. I don't have a 4K TV so I wouldn't buy one, but whatever. If it has other advantages, well I don't think I'd use the word "unfair" but I don't know if it would be a good thing for the Playstation brand in the long run. But, I keep my phone until I actually need another so upgrading every few years just because I can isn't a thing for me.
It's not Massively Multiplayer in any sense of the phrase.
You said you hope a game that many enjoy doesn't become a franchise.
That's narcissistic.
"No the game is not trash but far from being great"
I'd say the same about Assassin's Creed and many other franchises that are undoubtedly "big".
"reaching max in 3 days is not good for a mmo."
"If this any indication of how mmo's will be on console I'll pass"
It's not an MMO.
"Pc has done mmo games great"
Agreed. There are...
"Sony will still make the same game for the PS4 just that it will look normal and to those who have a 4.5 it will look glorious in 4K."
If all PS4.5 turns out to be is 4K upscaling I don't have a problem with it. I don't have a 4K TV and won't be buying one any time soon so I won't trade in my PS4. If PS4.5 ends up having other advantages it could very well hurt the Playstation brand in the long run. Then again, it might not. We don't know if the...
Biggest character models, sure.
OT - Assuming by "biggest" they mean sales, no.
I think No Man's Sky will do very well but at the end of the year several other games will have sold more.
"I think people have every right to question it's substance"
Substance and fun aren't the same things. People have a right to wonder what they'll be doing in the game, though as someone who keeps up with news on the title I feel Hello Games has been pretty clear on that subject, but each person has to decide for themselves whether the game is enjoyable.
The "pressure to be fun" is unfair because no game is for everyone. Many lo...
http://store.steampowered.c...
That's page one on Steam for Simulation games. I see a Star Wars game, so there goes your theory.
XB1 gamers didn't want it enough to buy it in big numbers, so why would it make PS4 gamers jump ship?
Bought this on a whim, and I'm loving it. Gotta love a game that wears it's influence so proudly on it's sleeve. Even with it's 2D platforming and cartoonish art style, which still manages to be both dark and bloody, there are still more similarities to Dark Souls than differences. Hopefully I'll be done with my initial play through by the time DS3 releases, but if not I'm actually considering finishing this before diving into DS3, which says something because the Soul...
