Yeah I got excited when I realized an E3 showcase was about to start, but I ended up turning it off out of boredom, going back to it because I felt I might miss something good, and then turning it off again. That guy talking about the FIFA story mode was especially cringe inducing for me.
Rose tinted glasses? Since Morrowind the series has lost depth with each new release. That's a simple fact. Less depth doesn't make a better rpg.
Radiant AI was dumbed down because of unforeseen consequences like city guards getting hungry on the job, leaving their post, and wandering off into the woods to go hunting. Another example I remember reading about had to do with NPCs getting addicted to Skooma. If you want to say they "lied", fine, but Skyrim...
I couldn't care less about the protagonist's race, but I do care that this trailer doesn't make me want to play the game. Given Ubi's history with early trailers vs final game, I'm not sure it matters what anyone thinks about the game at this point.
Hopefully this person is correct in their speculation about the game being released this week. I've been looking forward to TTC ever since it was first shown, and was a bit bummed when I realized I missed an open beta.
This game may benefit from the No Man's Sky delay. I know I'll be buying it day one now instead of later or never. The graphics aren't exactly cutting edge, but I'm interested in H1Z1 ( the survival part not King of the Hill ) and Day Z coming to PS4 and neither will be happening any time soon, sooo...
Cell phones haven't been around for nearly as long as home gaming consoles have and fairly frequent upgrade opportunities for cell phones have pretty much always been an option. Home consoles have had a mostly steady rate of new generations for about 40 years now, and that's always been a big part of console gaming's charm.
@AKR - Perhaps there should be a section for uninformed opinions then, because I look at that title and wonder why someone who evidently cares enough to write an article didn't care enough to have read the answer to that question at some point.
Gamers really need to get over the idea that they "deserve" something.
Sony's Neo plan has only gotten less divisive and less alienating every time they make an announcement about it.
Yeah right, exclusives exist because of "some gamers", not because these companies know exclusives are a selling point. lol
Sony and MS are still relative newcomers to console gaming. More than a few companies have flourished and then flamed out of this industry. I'm sure at one point Atari, Coleco, Mattel, Sega, and Magnavox all felt really good about their future in the console hardware business. A bad move or two and some nervous shareholders are all it takes to change the landscape drastically.
I'd love to see your source for that made up statistic, but you don't need more than one system to be a true gamer imo.
PS4 was designed based on developer input. XB1 was designed based on the direction MS wanted to push the industry, whether consumers liked that direction or not. Which approach is more developer friendly?
Those with overactive imaginations and temper tantrum issues should stop getting hyped for upcoming games.
No they don't.
True gamers play what they want, even if it's all on one system.
If perceived exclusivity from an advertising deal is a good thing, as your SWBF and BO3 example indicates, why wouldn't actual exclusivity be even better?
I think it's less about nostalgia and more about what works. Even the best and most creative new games borrow from the past in one way or another.
Edit - Loved Doom 1 and 2 back in the day on PC. Also loved the PS1 Doom games. Bought a Doom Collection on PS3. Safe to say I enjoy old school Doom, but I'm loving the new Doom. Didn't buy it for the competitive multiplayer at all but I know I'll play it at times. I'm in it for the campaign and the user creat...
If that's the only complaint you can muster I'd say the game must be pretty great.
Have you played any of the Elder Scrolls games? ( I mean the main games, not including Elder Scrolls Online ). How you feel about Skyrim may hinge on how you felt about the older titles. You may think it's the best or you may find it lacking in certain areas. Depends on what you like about the series I guess. If you've never played any of them I say go for it and see what you think.
Personally I really enjoyed Skyrim and I will buy the remaster, though I felt Dark S...
