A small empty room, a gun, and an enemy model. Probably should wait to until you have more content to release footage.

I really liked FFXV and will probably go back to play some of the DLC and maybe even a New Game + eventually, but if this stuff is taking resources away from whatever their next game is, I'd much rather they just drop it immediately. Chances are it's probably not though. They're well aware of their reputation for keeping games in development forever, so I have a hard time believing they'd be that stupid.

Seriously. I'd rather play this at 1440p or even 1080p if it means I can get 70+ fps on a gsync monitor. People are obsessed with this "4K" term. It's not even an accurate term, it's actually called UHD if it's a 1.78 aspect ratio (3840x2160).

Reviews are subjective, period. There is no objective metric by which they are measured, the entire thing is nothing more than an opinion reached through a subjective analysis. A number doesn't make a review any more or less subjective. About the only thing in a review which is objective is whether or not the game has bugs.

Why are you comparing this to a lazy boy? These type of chairs are obviously for desk setups. A lazy boy wouldn't go in front of a desk...

Most console generations deliver at least a 10x+ increase in computational horsepower, at least on the GPU side of things. Assuming it's still apples to apples (FLOPS aren't everything you know), 10 TFLOPS would be a little over 2X the processing power of a PS4 Pro. That, combined with the already massive problem of diminishing returns, means games probably wouldn't take a massive visual leap forward. Sad, but that's probably the truth. The real improvement would be on the CPU...

I have an HDR/UHD display. To be honest, the resolution difference alone is negligible. I can't believe the degree to which people have bought into the "4K" buzzword. On my TV at least, what makes the biggest difference is the 10bit color depth, wider color gamut, higher brightness, and better contrast. But even with all that, I'd still take a really solid 60+fps over any of it.

Not even a little bit.

Seeing as like 9 out 10 games get delayed these days, and even more so ones which have already been rumored to be delayed, I very much doubt it.

This headline needs to be changed, that's not gameplay. I doubt it's even in-engine.

It most likely will be a little less powerful than the PS4, but automatically assuming it is based on it being Maxwell is quite a leap. The GTX 980 is also Maxwell and significantly more powerful than the PS4, so the architecture alone doesn't mean much, especially with a custom chip like this.

It's $18 per PC... this is a non story, and a tiny price to pay to conserve energy.

The fact that Sony failed to emphasize was that you don't need a UHD/HDR TV to get something out of the PS4 Pro. A lot (or at least some) games will offer enhanced visuals or increased framerates instead of the UHD support, like Rise of the Tomb Raider. Most people just seem to think it's only for UHD which means that Sony really blew it with the messaging at that announcement.

Did you not read his question? Except for Ni No Kuni and X, none of those games were released in the last 5 years (The Last Story is close though).

Like I said, not outside of tech demos.

FYI, here's a UE4 demo that I think looks even better.

Outside of tech demos, no one has been able to achieve photorealism when rendering on a single screen at 30fps, but yeah I'm sure they're just going to all of sudden be able to pull it off in stereoscopic 3D at 120+fps... This is hyperbolic nonsense.

Native 4k...lol...

By that logic, the "slim" models should be the same size as the originals. That logic generally holds within the same architecture, but that is usually not the case when implementing newer, more thermally efficient chips.

Except for Uncharted and the remasters, they're literally *all* multiplatform games. Why not just click the link, it takes 2 seconds.

This list manages to squeeze in DLC and remasters, but leaves out stuff like Ratchet and Clank, The Witness, Overwatch, Inside, and Dark Souls? Come on.
