"Psychonauts Dev's"? I find this wording kinda odd. I think if you know what Psychonauts is, you most definitely know who Double Fine is.

I think GT7 looks better, but I do agree with you that Driveclub is criminally underrated. It's like 10 years old and is still one of the best looking racing games ever made.

I never had any issues with framerate, just stutters. I doubt this will do jack shit for that.

Bummer. I thought the tone of the first one was perfect. I'm not really interested in it getting darker.

The issue with UE5 has never been performance in terms of average FPS, it's about consistent frametimes. The 2 main disrupters being shader compilation (less of an issue recently) and loading in new sectors/assets (still a big issue).

They are the ones that decided. And people decided they didn't like it.

You think it's going to launch optimized?

While that's true, there are def a handful of UE games that have little to no stuttering. So while it may be that "by default" the engine is very prone to stuttering, it is equally true that it is possible to avoid the issues.

Unreal Engine stutter is a showstopper for me. I uninstalled it unfortunately.

Nice one? What does that mean?

I'm not just talking about shader compilation stages. There are games like Expedition 33 that barely have any pre-compilation stages (in the background on the main menu) and have almost zero comp stutter. It has to do with the way you use shaders and make your materials. It still has some small traversal stutter though.

Compilation stutter hasn't really been much of an issue for a couple years now if the devs know what they're doing. The problem is not all the devs know what they're doing in that regard. The real problem is traversal stutter. That is nearly universal.

Of course they are products that are being marketed, but that doesn't change the fact that they are also works of art and entertainment that people resonate with and are excited for. They are not mutually exclusive.

FF7 is a lot more than just a remake. It's a more like a re-imagining bordering on a reboot/sequel. There are plenty of remakes that are not just remasters that don't go anywhere near that far. Examples include Demon's Souls (2020), Resident Evil (2002), Tony Hawk 1+2, etc.

I expected a noticeable difference in resolution, but there's also a massive difference in lighting and texture quality. Damn, I'm going to have to get a Switch 2 aren't I?

Zen1 was the beginning of the turn around and by Zen3 it was starting to become ultra competitive. X3D was really only the final nail in the coffin.

This was free on something at some point, so I decided to check it out. It's definitely properly rated.

Bummer. I love Avowed, but I doubt I'll play this.

I don't think this game is getting enough attention. It's rock solid, has a fresh art style, and the gameplay lands somewhere between something like Nioh and Sekiro. Very cool.

That's interesting, Indivisible used to be GamePass before. Is that the first game to get pulled and come back?
