No, now that is a load of crap. That's clearly the climax where her home is being invaded and is pretty much 100% combat. That's not representative of what the vast majority of the game is like. You fight small groups of enemies between platforming and puzzle sections.
Compare that to this clip of RoTR where she kills around 40 people in less than 10 mins, and it's not even one of the set pieces that are just all out firefights.

No way, Tomb Raider shouldn't be a third person shooter, it should be about platforming, exploration, and puzzle solving. Shooting stuff should be an afterthought at most. Shadow is probably the closest that trilogy ever came to being what Tomb Raider should actually be, which is very weird considering the other 2 were developed by the studio that made Anniversary and Legend.
This game looks unbelievable. If it ends actually being half as good as it looks, they can take as long as they want.
Initial impressions of the demo weren't great, but it started winning me over pretty quickly. By the end I was liking it a lot. I'm sold.
Huh? It's currently in the Top 10.
You mean prospective digital customers. The current digital owners are fine.
Yup.
I agree that handhelds completely dominate the Japanese market, it that is really the only way for Sony to move big numbers there. However I don't think they'd be able to throw all their weight behind R&D and 1st party support if they're only selling the software in that one market.
Sort of, but not exactly, it mostly just means you get the best version of the game available. If there's a native SeriesX version you'll you get that one, or if there isn't you'll get a patched BC version, if not you'll get the original XboxOneX version, etc.
Welcome to the world of fixed hardware platforms, where have you been?
PSVR is a PS4 accessory, so why would it support PS5 games? This is a non-story.
All the comments here are either from people who didn't read the article, or are just blindly flocking to the defense of a Souls game. The author isn't saying that the stamina bar should be removed and then call it day. They say it should be replaced with deeper, more creative and interesting mechanics.
Didn't they already reveal the PS5 box(es) a few weeks ago?
They've become a lot more common in the last couple of years. Regardless, I'm not specifically referring to consoles or TVs anyway.
Most people with computer monitors or mid to high-end TVs released in the last 2 or 3 years.
It's all about the temporal resolution for me. Anything less than about 80-90fps and things start to get blurry while panning the camera.
Yes I have an LG C9, 120hz@4K with HDMI 2.1. I also have a 144hz monitor @1440p.
I'm not specifically referring to consoles, nor am I moaning. I simply listed a preference.
I'd sacrifice both for 120fps. That said, I probably would sacrifice some framerate for better shadows. Even RT shadows seem to have artifacts at times, they're very much the weakest link in real-time rendering right now.
You're clearly the slow one here. I'm aware of that, and everything I said was in that context.
