It does strike me as weird how the people saying MS is making a mistake for releasing another (optional) console upgrade in 4 years....are the same people saying they are day one for Sony's less powerful upgrade 3 years in. (The power comment only matters because there is less of an "upgrade").
Smartest move Sony could make at this point. Plans/Specs are more or less committed for both consoles, contracts have been signed....it looks like the new Xbox will do more native 4k games/better graphically impressive 1080p games (which is important to some people, not myself so much)...and it will provide options on better VR experiences. Wait...what??? Horizon and GoW both look like great games, but in a year with the quality games we've seen, I wouldn't even put Detroit in my top 100 Bargain bin buys. I wouldn't nominate GoW simply because all we saw was a very scripted demo...which had very little actual game play...it doesn't look like it will come out for a while. Horizon should be in the nomination, but in the long list of fantastic games coming out, I wouldn't say it deserves to be THE winner.

Gamers won. Zelda looks sweet, Sony showed a few new promising titles, and MS killed it with almost everything they showed. All in all it's a fantastic time to be a gamer.

Solid lists...however after that E3 it's easier for me to list games I'm NOT interested in than it is to list my favorites. Sony genuinely surprised me with 2 titles I wasn't expecting (DG and GoW), I already have Horizon pre-ordered...and I MIGHT be interested in Death Standing...we'll see. The man has a great legacy, but after his role in MGS5, I might be leaning towards agreeing with his family. The game itself was great, but the Story and Direction were BAD...and that was his contribution. I'm willing to give him another shot by seeing what Death Standing is all about...but if it has the same issues as MGS5 had, I'd say it's time for him to hang it up while he can still go out as an all time great.
