Technically it's an S being that I have it pre-ordered and it's the next to come out....then it depends...PROBABLY a Scorpio, but if God of War or Days Gone comes out with a Neo bundle first...then that will happen before Scorpio...it's entirely up to release dates though.
It doesn't fit their narrative to say that MS had the best (or sometimes even a "good") conference. It's flanboy politics. According to the playbook, you must constantly downplay everything good the other side is doing (until your side does it, then call it innovative) while getting "excited" about what your side is doing (...about which if the other side did, you'd ridicule them). This year MS did very well. They announced great games and showed great gamep...
Power difference didn't make a huge deal this "gen". So if we are talking simply res/fps...it probably won't make a huge difference....although if we start talking about VR and being able to get TRUE full VR experiences of full games...or if they start using the extra power to expand physics/lighting/ai...etc then YES the power means something.
...Except the other options.
PSVR is the cheapest which is it's only real advantage. HTC Vive and Rift are not only much better devices, but they both work on PC and soon to be XBOX too....and they even have much better libraries....they have more full true VR games...less tech demo style games. They even play like 95% of the games on PSVR and have the better of the exclusive content. So the only way PSVR will crush everything is if everyone interested in VR is also ...
Well you see...if you kill off all your options, you no longer have to think and be responsible for making choices...and therefore can't be accused of making the "wrong" choice. Then you'd just get whatever Sony gives you, but at least they'd no longer have any drive to work hard for you....cause now you have no choice.

Sony DOES have SOME great studios, but most sony exclusives this gen have actually been flops (or atleast nowhere near the hype), so relying on those studios only goes so far. Sony isn't bad at marketing by any means, but most of their success this gen actually had NOTHING to do with what they did, they were just fortunate that MS shot themselves in the foot in 2013.
So this looks like an interesting chess match going on. On Amazon the 2tb...not even the 500gb $299 version...is THE top selling console right now....so the $399....NOT the $299 version of the Slim is selling more than any other console on Amazon. I agree, I prefer it outside for sake of heat....but I'm not gonna cry about it being inside. The only time I see it being inside as an advantage is when I travel. Other than that I just plug it in and lay it down behind the console....I don't exactly have to hold it while I play or anything.
Note: The improved controller will also connect to Tablets and phones.
Yeah it looks great, and I'm interested for sure...but it was clear that it's early in dev. The demo was clearly a vertical slice just to give an indication what the game is intended to end up like. It shows a TON of promise but at this stage the zombies all looked the exact same (except clothes) and they had no real AI...they even just ran by and bumped off the demo'er a few times. Most of the demo was very scripted. Not that this is a bad thing, it's normal for this earl...
