Like Bloodborne, esp at launch Bloodborne had WAYYYYYYYYYYYY longer load times (and I think ReCore is MUCH more fun), yet it was heralded as a masterpiece.
@Grubster ...if MS owned those sites, wouldn't this game be getting a lot more 9's or 10's? The problem with your logic is that there are gamers like me that OWN both consoles and can see first hand what the quality of and exclusive on either console is...for whatever reason....MS games get reviewed MUCH MUC...
This game is fantastic and getting a TON more harsh criticism than it deserves. It tells you something when out of the 4000+ reviews on Xbox the game is BARELY under 5/5 stars...but on MetaCritic it's getting hammered. After playing it, yeah, it's a MUCH better bet to trust the people that ACTUALLY PLAYED the game. Sure it could use a patch to smooth a few things out...but the game itself is fantastic. Anyone find it odd that PS4 Pro has to be compared to Xbox Slim? Um...why not at least compare it to a regular PS4...or a Scorpio. It hasn't even released yet, and it's still struggling to find more value that the previous iteration of consoles.
You should get an X1, you'll see. Until then I'll take your opinion as uninformed. People that own both don't talk like that. So far this gen, the good exclusives PS has had are UC4 (although not as good as Metacritic would have you believe) and Bloodborne. Then next one is Horizon...then MAYBE Days Gone and God of War. X1 has already had more THIS YEAR.
It's just not true anymore though no matter what metacritic says....it ALSO doesn't mean that you can't get both...that's just fanboy thinking. It's actually a shame that this had to be written at all...does anyone remember articles about why you should buy a PS4 instead of 360? Have we seen any articles about why to buy a Pro over a Scorpio?
I love getting every console (of the big three that is) every gen. As it stands right now, I can't see any reason to get a Pro...maybe someday if the price drops, but as it is I already do most of my Multi-Plat gaming on X1 anyway (because I like the UI, Controller and Network more). I have a 4k Tv, but Pro will be up-scaling to 4k not native...which is fine, I have no problem with that (I actually would prefer if Pro/Scorpio use their resources for better effects/AI etc and keep it 1080...

Seems like it. It has esp ramped up after NMS bombed and the PS4 Pro Reveal was a disaster. It is strangely addictive. The game play is fun so far, the challenges and dungeons are not too difficult, but challenging enough to stay entertaining. The voice acting is great (even just the noises your corebots/Violet make). Seriously, just a patch here or there to smooth some things out and this game is an instant classic. I get why some people say it should have been delayed...you only get one chance to make a first impression, but if there was every a game that deserves a second loo...
Fantastic game, you should try it . Please name me ANY GAME that does not have some dropped FPS here or there.

The more I play this game the more I love it. Sure it could use a patch, smooth some things out....but other than that, this game is fantastic where it counts...nothing a patch can't fix. So based on the reviews I've seen so far...essentially this game could be turned into a masterpiece potentially with a patch. I already got my copy but haven't played yet...if you're on the fence I say just wait a month or two for an almost certain incoming patch
