TF2 has been great so far....but so has BF1...odd problem is that BOTH games are fantastic. I think once I am done with TF's Campaign I will jump into MP. Either way, it sealed the deal that I won't be playing Infinate Warfare MP at all.
I just want to be able to work with my Battlepacks and classes outside the game (and see my progress towards the next class level). Other than that, this game is fantastic.
It just sems odd to me that there is as much detail on what is in Scorpio as in what's in Pro....and MS has even been more clear about the vision they have for how current and future games will work with Scorpio (and even PC)....yet people like you have NO concern about what Sony is doing...but are wildly skeptic about everything MS does. I would be more concerned about Pro...esp with Cerny trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes about the 8.4TF in Pro comment he made that was C...
I noticed that too...he was really skeptical about MS trying to sell windows (stupid company, don't sell your products!!! don't you know better???)...but COMPLETELY willing to accept that PS and PSVR are directly exclusive to one another with no options at all. No but different levels of devices that work on different platforms is too much. It could also have something to do with DX12....just sayin...
PSVR is resonably priced, but it is NOT the best VR option available right now. There are already devices that are better, and the list of coming devices...even those as cheap as $299 easily have the potential to be better. They are fully self contained and they go passed VR into mixed reality. Not to mention, with the tech/devices they are talking about, you could potentially get into a (better) VR option for $800. The $299 headset will work with a $500 computer (or potentiall cheaper de...
Until Scorpio yeah....but that would be like saying PS4 and XB1 will give PS3 and 360 a run for their money
Sony will be fine, they are splitting all those devices within the same fanbase, but time will fix that. I will say though the recent announcements about VR options have put the final nail in the coffin as far as if I would grab PSVR on an impulse buy...so for me personally, it's not all the options PS is providing that does it...it's external forces that are doing it. Providing options can't be seen as a negtivie though IMO. I have no interest in a PS Slim, I will most likely ...
...but R&D was done before PSVR was even a thing. I also never said that it shouldn't be above 8/10 SOLELY BECAUSE it's not the best device on the market....it's because of other issues as well....but not being the best device (potentially even being outdone by cheaper devices soon) does have a role to play in purchaising decisions.
If Treyarch takes COD back to WW2 or Modern times...then yes. But playing BF1 has made me realize (well at least magnified) how far COD has strayed from what made it great. After Playing the latest beta, I think I won't even touch MP for the first time in a COD game. I'll play the campaign...then stick to BF1, TF2, and COD MW for MP (with Halo 5 thrown in every now and then).
In light of recent announcements regarding VR....i think its safe to say that anyone looking at this objectively would not rush to buy a PSVR. ....unless you only own a PS. Already there are better options and cheaper options...and they aren't tied to one platform. Even some of the cheaper options will be completely self contained..so if quality is even remotely similar they are clearly better devices
You need to update your "facts". Not only are those devices not made by MS...they are just working with MS...and even the $299 VR device won't need any external equipment...it's all self contained. So with that in mind, potentially, the cheapest VR device compatible with Win10 platforms will ALREADY be better than PSVR.
I was a Nintendo and PS fan long before Xbox even existed...and I'm still a fan of both (and PC). It's clear here that you are the one looking through fanboy goggles...and because you are...you incorrectly think I am. No need to be so offended at my opinion...it's just my opinion based on my experience. Not to mention, I actually said the article was TOO HARSH.
True, but they are all really bad games
Ugh...I was almost able to forget about EGttR. That game was only 6 hours...and I still couldn't bring myself to finish it.
The best news here is the array of options....from affordible and less capable....to top of the line...and anywhere in-between. (not to mention that if you game on PC and Xbox...you buy ONE device that works on both...instead of one dedicated headset for each). I'll probably grab a Vive or Rift for Scorpio...but I'm still most excited about the HoloLens possibilities....esp once the potential starts getting fleshed out.
I am excited for this game, I already ordered it digitally....based on the beta though, it felt like the first one was better (NOT that I didn't like the beat, just the first one felt better)....so it just seems weird to me that it's suddenly getting great scores now that it's multi-plat. True, maybe they fixed the things about the Beta I didn't like...but it just seems odd.
No it's the exact opposite
77% MIGHT prefer physical to digital over all, but keep in mind each game is different. I make my mind up on Digital vs Physical by how long I expect it to take me to beat the game....like Gears and UC4 I bought physical....so I can beat the campaign and get some store credit....FH3 I'll be playing for a LONG LONG LONG time, so I got it digital. Not all games sell at the same ratio. No matter how you spin it, it's a great game and it's doing well.
Not to men...
Exactly what I want to hear
