Seriously....the more and more the gen goes on, the more people are moving digital...High 300k at retail only in the first week (actually 6 days) is impressive. Wonder what the sales look like when digital is added.
FH series kills DC at every level
He also forgot to mention that GT5 is listed as selling 11 million copies because for SEVERAL YEARS it was given away with every PS sold...so by that same logic, he thinks Kinect Adventures is a MASSIVE success.
Well...it's cause you're not looking at the facts correctly....you're right that DC's first half month sold 46k....and that it didn't start to pick up steam until later.....suspiciously when the price dropped to $19.99 and today you can buy it for $7.49 from the PS store....so, THAT may have something to do with why sales for DC come even close to those of Forza 6...which JUST dropped to around the $30-40 range. It's not an excuse, it's logic.

Well done for a 1 week retail. I wonder how many people bought it digitally like I did?
....it could also just be that people don't like when products make them sick on occasion...or that while it's the cheapest VR device of it's kind available there are better options on the market quality-wise....or people want to be able to just play any game they already have in VR or at least full true games, not glorified tech demos and half/games. Those all seem like legitimate reasons to me for the scores PSVR has been getting...in fact it seems the scores are a little highe...
How close do they have to be? I have an S hooked to my 70" 4k Tv that I sit less that 6 feet away from....it ALREADY looks near 4k and fantastic...how much closer to 4k do we need to get without being 4k? I think it's all kinda mute anyway....after seeing how great upscaled games look in 4k with HDR (HDR being the more important part...lighting in Gears is F'n amazing...just make sure you adjust your video options in game first). I WANT them to stick with 1080/60 then upscale ...
Apparently....so X1 S already does "4k gaming through upscaling" = not true 4k machine. PS4 Pro does same thing = "First 4k games console."
Perhaps...but do we know this yet? But if we are talking about not doing "real" 4k....well X1 S does "not real" 4k too then since it upscales to 4k already. http://support.xbox.com/en-...
Uh, the upscaler in the S is fantastic, have you even seen one? or did you have your TV set up right? Playing Gears and FH3 on my 70" 4k tv looks FANTASTIC...and is actually what makes me lean torwards developers just making games in 1080 60fps with HDR...and using the extra power (and hard drive space)that would be used to make a game native 4k towards in game enhancments instead.
None yet... I'm not saying Sony should be sued over saying this...they CAN claim they output games at 4k...but through upscaling, but the Xbox One S already does that too. http://support.xbox.com/en-... I just think it's misleading, there are no note-worthy titles on Pro coming out that are native 4k...there may be some indies or something. Either way....after playing Gears and FH3 on an...
I want those and the new Zelda
Checkerboarding....it's a little disengenuous to say that it is the first 4k console....true it will do some limited games in true 4k, but nothing noteworthy....either way, as someone with a 4k tv 70", I'd prefer actually devs work with 1080p 60FPS in HDR....but then just release solid games with better AI, effects, etc. Visuals are already at the point that I think they are so refined that differences we already see aren't enough to be the focus point.

I'm excited, I'll grab one (assuming the price isn't too bad that is)...I just hope it gets game support is all
So.....nothing? Is this practice still evil, or is it smart now?
Definite buy for me
With Pro coming out, that's pretty obvious...not really taking any risks there.
I don't get the anger about MicroTransactions when they don't actually affect anything. They are just cosmetic and you can earn them by playing...so who cares really?
Mine is digital too and everyone I know that bought it got it digitally as well....with a game like this that I plan to spend TONS of time with, I get it digitally so I can go back to it at anytime....by the time I'm done with it, trade in value will be next to nothing anyway.
