Well the cloud is still there, it's still doing it's thing. It provides a lot of great things and I enjoy it's effects.
You're proving my point for me. From an instal base of over 40mil...those sales are horrible. Halo Wars is a very niche type of game...I didn't buy it either cause I don't like RTS games...so comparing these "heavy hitters" to a niche game that NO ONE expected to sell well is proving my point. That's the thing about being the most powerful console though...you don't need exclusives to support yourself at that point. Any great exclusives would be welcome (and MS has them no matter how hard you want to try and say), but even with NONE, It would still be the best place to play like 95% of games. Let's see if this game gets the same criticisms as Mass Effect for "horrible animations". This game has MUCH worse animations as of this video, and doesn't look anywhere near as taxing as Mass Effect.

While exclusive games are awesome, MS already has a decent amount even in this year which is considered a drought right now...more than that, while exclusives are awesome...MOST gaming isn't exclusives, it's multi-plats. The stroy/voice acting was actually the weak point of that game for me...so I could care less what they do with the story really. The gameplay was the best part about Horizon...so they could just open up the world and say "Go kill robots" and I'd probably be fine with it. I'd hope they would expand on the gameplay though a bit just to keep it interesting. Like if you could ride flying robots after you train them and perhaps a glider you could make so maybe you could float...
