They didn't fix anything because Obsidian just licensed the engine from Bethesda. The couldn't do much more than the average PC modder could do.
I'm making my way through it, even with the bugs. It damn addictive. But I will not buy ANY other game using this engine, that includes the New Vegas DLC.
After 2 major patches, the game either locks up or I get stuck in a rock about once an hour.

The xbox 360 will only ever know how to connect to the current "Xbox Live". Do you really think they will keep that service up and keep every patch for every game ever made online forever?

Also, games can't be returned once they are opened, even if the game faulty. This is almost Class Action Lawsuit territory.

I couldn't care less about playing online. Running around in circles going "Pew, pew pew" over and over and over and over again.
Xbox = Online-Shooter-Machine, so of course it will have more people online.
