just purchased it about 2 and a half days ago...and I'm fairly sure me and meh buddy have logged closed to 2 days on the game already :D...i need sleep.
As much as I don't want to do this....It's hard to resist...
HUMILIATION!!!
but in all seriousness, that is terrible.
Installs for the most part don't bother me. I'd rather install it all at once and have really short load times when I get into the game. MGS4's chapters installs however are....kinda lame.
The thing that is more upsetting is if you buy an older game that has had some huge updates in the past. First time you stick in that disk, you'll sit through 5 minutes of install and get all excited to play then the update screen pops up...yeah, that kind of sucks too.
My first ps3(40GB) had some bluetooth issues, bluetooth would completely cut out randomly while playing. my second (80GB) got YLOD after about 6 months of use, that one was fixed by sony for free. my third just past the one year mark and is doing good. I sold my first one so I just have the two 80gigs now. One for meh wife, and one for me. :)
Yeah, it's not like the game looks bad, it just looks...uninspired. combat looks decent enough. character models, baddies, and environments just look so 'just ok'
Not to mention everything we've read from people who have gotten some hands on time with that game didn't really have anything good to say about it.
ill likely get this and FFXIII. between those two and GOW3, i should be a pretty happy gamer for a while.
shut up Bungie...lol
it won't be a surprise when Reach sells a crap load of units, but it's not gonna put sony out of the gaming business...thats just silly talk.
I have what he's drinkin' :)
I would think the hook-shot and boomerang alone would be enough for most to think "that sounds awfully familiar"
Anyone notice that all the gamers who enjoyed the MAG beta are really smug about it?
And I thought it was easier to get kills in MAG than it is in MW2. so many baddies running about...sniping seemed a bit OP'd...but I suppose in most games, that's the way it works.
Agree...I highly doubt we'll be seeing a heavy rain 2 in the future, but I'm sure sony and devs are aware of the niche market this game has an appeal to. Hopefully it will at least meet their goals. I'm betting it will eventually make its way to 1 mil sold...or at least I hope so.
It's still exclusive isn't it?
I would kill for a new Elder Scrolls right now T_T
FF12's combat system....*shudders* ruined any chance of me being able to ever enjoy that game.
I really don't wanna blame the 360 for some of the problems it sounds like we're getting, but it's really hard to not wonder how much the game would turn out differently if it kept its exclusive status.
Although I bet much of the content that was cut, was cut for good reason. I'm really curious though about the first 20 hours being so linear, has anything to do with the multiple discs issue. Hopefully the game is still good though. SE will prolly end up getting my money for it...
Yeah, I still can't believe they are releasing FF13, GOW3, and Heavy Rain all in the same quarter. and WKC, but that's probably not near as big as the other 3.
oh I almost forgot MAG too.
Yeah, that was my thought exactly...
I wouldn't mind if they pushed it back 'till summer to help ease that summer drought of games that we've come to know all too well.
"they say the mushroom cloud from an atomic bomb is beautiful.but do u want 1 on your garden?"
Sooooo GoW3 is beautiful, but it will kill thousands of people?
'GOD OF WAR...rocks so hard it will KILL YOU!!!'
i like it.
I agree, it'd be hard for me to make a second playthrough, but the first was a lot of fun.
60gb BC ps3 would be an easy choice. ps1,ps2,ps3,psn...and I don't think anyone's mentioned yet that one could install linux on the ps3 with no problems and play some emulators on older consoles like atari, and nes...and probably snes. youd also have a web browser (ps3s own browser or anything you can install on linux) movie and music player (again ps3's or linux)
EDIT: Ceekay beat me to the linux thing
