I don't mind since I tried installing linux and thought it was useless, but I do sympathize with those of you who enjoy the feature or even made their purchase based on that decision(well I sure hope no one made that decision solely on that, thatd be silly)
Hopefully it's an april fools joke, but if its not then my life won't really change because of it either.
@bboss yeah that was frustrating. Although when I finally beat it, it was like the easiest part of the game. I had a full magic bar and blades maxed out. All I had to do was go crazy on heavy attack combo on the cerberus for getting rid of the first two heads (I barely even got hit, took like 30 seconds). then I spammed the spartan army magic on the cerberus to kill him. Then down to two satyrs but they don't have any unblockable moves so that's pretty easy.
I have a feeling...
Hmm...wouldn't you be able to destroy the three judges right when you got to Hades if you had all weapons?
IMHO they need to cut the online player count down a little or make the maps/gameplay modes more fitting for 32 players. Gets a bit hectic at times (that's probably an understatement).
Other than that, Everything else is great. Co-op wouldn't hurt but not necessarily needed either.
I don't see Gears franchise ever making it over to Sony consoles, but a new IP isn't out of the question when they finish up the trilogy.
Best ever may be pushing it but I did enjoy the first one a lot (though I find it nearly impossible to make a 2nd playthrough). Glad to see they made a new combat system, hopefully it's for the better. Also would've been cool if the game was open world instead of the Fable-ish method, but I'll likely end up getting the game no matter what.
TBH I'm not a fan of a monthly service charge...but if it extended the warranty, then that would definitely help loosen that money out of my pocket. That and online backup of save files(specially for copy-protected material) would be worth a few bucks a month alone to me. cross-chat, I couldn't care less about.
@Fatal Blow "Same hear that's why i have gone mac
ms guys just talks crap about other companies..."
Have you ever seen a Mac commercial in the last 3 years? :\
I got the Killzone 2 plat. It would be about a 1000 times easier if it weren't for Radec on the hardest difficulty (well not radec but his waves of minions...I still have nightmares about that level. I think I calculated by my deaths before and after that it took me about 200-250 trys to beat the last level on the hardest difficulty and only around 50 for the rest of the game..on all modes) And the online rank trophy. How did GG think that was a good idea?
Also the R2 isn't v...
The camera adds a third dimension...but other than that..no not much different than the wii. One thing I will say that will be better that sense it is the camera making the observation of where the ball is....the move will be better about pointing away from the screen. If you've played a wii game where you have to point, youve seen how it freaks out when the controller can't see the infrared. This should be no/or less of an issue.
Still, not very excited about this. It's a wa...
I'm thinking the most anyone would ever need is 4 moves and 2 subs...but yeah that is still going to be expensive. Until I see a better reason to invest..I won't (Although I am a sucker for rail shooters :D )
On a side note, if we end up getting Mii's too...I may make a move to pc gaming only lol.
Most likely not an issue. Most people who own 4 wiimotes only own 2 nunchucks mainly because of price and the fact that pretty much every 4 player game only requires the wiimote. And if I remember right the ps3 can have seven controllers hooked up(why they choose 7?) so you could have 3 people with both...and even one more with just the move.
wait..does this mean people will be able to use the move online in Socom4? Wouldn't that make it kind of unbalanced for people who don't wanna go out and buy the move, or dislike motion controlling....I'm not liking this.
@Greywulf
You have a good point, but to be honest I haven't played Bayonetta on either console so I couldn't tell you what I think about that. I tried the demo and I wasn't in to the whole butterflies and clothes made of hair thing(or how easy it was, *hit r2 to dodge anything at any time*). Maybe some people want that, but I prefer my hack and slash character to be covered in blood when he leaves a room of enemies(who are in pieces i might add). I want him ripping peoples head...
8/10 = bad review? You guys are insane. The game is good...we already know this. Just go buy it and enjoy the hell out of it. Complaining over every 8 or 8.5 out of 10 for a game that you have even played is....its ....well its just crazy talk.
People's reviews aren't going to magically change the game and make it better or worse...just play it. Speaking of which, I need to go pre-order this before it sells out....*runs out of room*....
I have to say that Retrofly is right. I have over 5 days logged online for MW2 and I've never even seen the infinite care package glitch. I did run into the javelin glitch but only in one game ever. I'm not even that big of a COD fan, but people have been blowing MW2 problems out of proportion. (Atleast on ps3 side, I haven't played the game on pc/360)
I guess I'm just lucky that I've never ran into the problems that have supposedly been plaguing every single match?
...
I wasn't into it after my first play of the demo but it grows on you. It's a blast when you start using the hook inventively. Try hooking a baddie to a gas tank and then shooting it once and watch your enemy be launched into space mua ha ha.
The mechanics all seem a bit off though, I do agree. (especially driving the cars and trucks/jeeps)
I also didn't like that building weren't destructible. After playing Mercs 2...its kind of a disappointment.
It's...
Talk about information overload. We've been getting a GOWIII review about every minute for the last 35 minutes...I'm glad its doing well though. Can't wait.
@1.2
Actually Yahtzee seems to enjoy the GOW series (well, as much as he would ever admit).
@the people backing CFW on psp....you do realize that piracy completely ruined the psp for anybody who actually was willing to spend their money on the system. Games aren't being made for the psp anymore because nobody makes any money off of them. How could you possibly support this for the ps3.
