I agree. I think we'll likely have one more cycle of consoles that work just like current ones (although with a lot more horsepower) before something revolutionary needs to be done. Nintendo is somewhat in the right mindset for this change. Something as simple as head tracking like what's shown in this clip could potentially be a great place to start:
Now that this has been confirmed, people have a reason to be upset with this situation. It's OK to bring the game to 360 for those fans who only own that system, but to make all the PS3 fans of the game wait for its development to finish is wrong. The Sony/MS rivalry is great, but you shouldn't go out of your way to actually punish the fans of your competitor. By the time this game debuts here we'll probably already know what the "720" looks like and have a release date.
Yeah the other link says the game comes in Dec. 2008, so maybe they got it mixed up.
This is great news and all, but I wonder when they will finally move the series to the current gen. A Shin Megami Tensei title was announced to be in development for PS3 back in 2005, but nothing has been said about it since then. Hopefully it still exists.
So firmware updates were supposed to cease completely throughout the remainder of the PS3's lifetime after 2.40?
Can't believe my launch day unit is still working fine. It'll probably break down the day after the 3 year warranty is up.
I never picked up Rise of a Ninja either since I was told to stay away from it, but this one looks great along with Ultimate Ninja Storm.
It seems the disagree brigade is up early this morning when I didn't really say anything to be disagreed with lol. I was simply showing Bangladesh that they had moved from reporting produced/built shipment numbers (to their own warehouses I'm assuming) and started recording only sales to retail companies as I believe MS does, but I'm not 100% sure.

You're absolutely right and I agree.
Their previous report from May 2008 says, "Beginning with Q1 FY07, the method of reporting hardware and software unit sales has been changed from production shipments to recorded sales."

VGchartz still has PS3 June 2008 totals at 352,000, when we know from the NPD that it really sold 405,000. So while their weekly/monthly estimates are off, they ended up at the right total somehow.
Surprisingly, VGchartz PS3 numbers are right on point.
I was lucky enough to get my FFXI free from Sony after beta testing it. Still surprised they gave away $100 (at retail anyway) worth of hardware/software. I played about 3 years on PS2/PC off and on, on Carbuncle server.
I haven't touched a sound card since the days when Voodoo graphics cards were on top. Pretty much everything I play sounds fine with the onboard audio, but then again, I've never really been an audiophile.

So after losing Monster Hunter 3, a title that would have catapulted PS3 sales to ridiculous levels in Japan, you don't think there was a bit of tension in the air when dealing with Capcom? Or how about discussions pertaining to The Orange Box after Gabe Newell calls their system "a waste of everybody's time"?
I don't think the requirements would be too crazy. The required specs for console/PC games like DMC4, Gears of War, Ass Creed, and Bioshock aren't that bad.
I wonder what the atmosphere is like in meetings between Sony and development companies, when just about every developer out there has slighted them or their fans in one way or another due to the nature of business or other reasons. No wonder they pump all their money into first/second party development. I'll most likely get the PC version.

Yeah you're right. Looking back at past VGChartz posts, I see that people on both sides still doubt the numbers, but not to the degree of what happens when 360 is in the lead. It's amazing how fast this site has turned around. Last year at this time, it was a disaster zone if you came here as a PS3 fan, but since January of this year it's been completely the opposite.
Aw man, that's my favorite class too. I hope they at least put in the Sorcerer then.
