Aside from us who are on here daily I don't know how many people even have noticed its down, some people have been fine all week too. If this is sorted by tomorrow then I doubt word will spread enough to influence peoples decisions all that much

The problem with youtube vids is that unless your character is the same with the same equipment and stats it wont be helpful. I did however watch a speed run of someone who done the whole game in 54 minutes 54 seconds was insane

Hmm its defiantly a tricky game, like I said people would prob try n upload there own videos they made to pass of as news if it were allowed e.g montages or commentarys, personally I just let the news come to me as N4G is really the only game site I use so I don't often find out things ahead of the pack, the only things I do is user reviews and one blog at least with those you can link in videos if you want, like my recent Motorstorm apocalypse review

A bag of bigger peanuts, now that makes sense. In fairness I get what you mean at the moment its the console hardware that's the limiting factor and so we need better hardware.
Gona be interesting to see the next gen when (if) it arrives, remember the days of the PS1 where we thought that games would never look better and the limit keeps getting pushed further and further so we'll see what the next gen brings
Would textures take up that much ? i kno a lot of uncharted 2 was textures but i duno how they used the PS3 to deploy it on screen and doesn't Rage have some mega compressing texture tech that saves a lot of ram and memory ?
Ah my mistake thanks :) but still going from that to 8GB is still a big jump personally I don't see it happening, wouldn't coding and architectural design be more efficient than just bumping up the RAM ? I don't know much about how these all work though
isint there like 256MB of RAM in this gen consoles, 8GB is ambitious

Yh if I had a proper computer (rather than just a stock laptop) I would defiantly get the PC version after seeing the better looking and smoother game play that and what I've come to realise is on the PS3 there is way too much aim assist in MP (I'd prob struggle without it but it makes it less satisfying knowing that the aim assist is so strong) which is the other reason on why I would want it on PC comes down to real skill with a mouse
That was a hardware fault within the 'fat' PS3 and literally only lasted the 24 hours of the leap year day
So technically not a PSN issue also not a few days and while an annoyance for a lot of people not as massive as this one or the XBL holiday problems of 2007
