yh I'm trying to moderate my time on Starcraft but its tough, so much to try n so much to improve I play pretty bad but for the short time I've had it I'm probably progressing well, what makes it worse tho is I'm between jobs so a lot of time free
wow just come off of playing a few rounds on Starcraft n its the most recent story here :P
2-3 months ago I didnt really care for it at all and then I saw a few pro matches n had to try n now I'm playing it all the time fighting through the Bronze league :D
All the more reason to have it back, think how if they put Stopping Power back in with the all the other popular powerful perks into one slot then people will be forced to choose between E.G Stopping Power, Slight of hand, Ghost etc
Stopping Power FTW
Very true from everyone I've heard as well as the reviews ;) I wont be picking it up
Shows what advertising will do, here in the UK we don't get all that many game adverts but I have noticed quite a few of this game, shame the reviews weren't all that great
Agree they don't sell on consoles but that's a good thing, I'm a PS3 gamer but love Starcraft 2 I do not want to see it consolised n dumbed down
Yh but you know there is going to be a trophy to get the big boss emblem, if there is its going to be a hard plat(s)
Dude you got it the wrong way round, this is going to threaten MW3 sales!!!!
Joking aside since the release date is in the busiest period of the year anyway for games its gona be stiff anyway shame they could have released it during the summer drought before I get wrapped up in Dark Souls and Uncharted 3, still hopefully will get it as soon as it comes out (not big on MW3 personally)
I'll agree with the reports that this is too short, but some valid underlining points, while I'm mainly a console gamer it took one simple PC game to bring me to my knees and fall in love with it. Starcraft 2
Oh what great timing all I gotta do is get the squad trophy for the plat n its gona be down :P
Its a very good question, and while I agree hype can really make or brake a game its not the only definition that makes a bad game. First off there are times when hype obviously makes a game sell a hell of a lot more, Call Of Duty being the most guilty there and while some people have boycotted the franchise and call it a 'bad' game next to everyone has spent some amount of time on a CoD game and probably did not think it was a bad game - despite the fact that MW2 had soo many bugs mi...
I only got 1 - FAIL
was funny though :)
@FredEffinChopin
Very well written response with good points, unfortunately I do not have much time to go into detail about that comment but I must agree that 'Justification of the PS pass' may seem like a more suitable title
As you said its not that I don't see the downsides of this but its more that I see that it is in fact going to happen and am looking at it as best I can, while I would not justify everything companies do this one I genuinely do not m...
@FredEffinChopin & SilentNegotiator
Sorry to argue but this post is rational, specifically rational in response to some of the outspoken comments based on this topic. Search up the definition of rational and it will b something along the lines of calm and agreeable to reason, which is exactly what this post is
So if I'm only looking at the defensive position why do I say that I cannot well defend the principle section, what I did was rationalise it. I don'...
Yh very good point and response, tbf I'm not really interested in R3 its just been centre of the PS pass things so I probably wont buy it however if it was a game I was really interested in I wouldn't boycott it for this, I can understand that some people like yourself will stand up against this but I dunno how many people will sacrifice getting a game they want because of the idea of the pass, also you have to consider the sheer amount of people who wont have a clue about the pass un...
I'm no financial adviser but I think Sony may look at each game on its own turning a profit rather than the whole playstation section, so if they project R3 to get low profits this maybe for that however I do very much agree that advertising needs to be used more it is a much better way of getting sales and keeping customers happy
Good point about something I didn't consider, I have no idea on the details but I can see it being truly annoying if it is purely account ...
Theres a difference between sheep and a rational thinking person. I'm rational thinking and the first thing I thought reading your comment 'it doesn't help you in anyway' was but it doesn't detract anything if I'm buying new and if I'm not buying new its still gona be cheaper to buy it second hand and get a online pass so its not really detracting much and it actually helps the developers, if you have a reasonable response reply and I'll PM you as this is my la...
@badkolo
*facepalm* are you really suggesting that R3 will tank because of this online pass which in no way effects anyone who buys the game new, y'kno the types of sales that actually get the developers money.
Really man chill it only effect ppl who buy second hand and its a one time thing, n the cost of that will still be cheaper than buying the game new and thats only if you want to play multiplayer, while this isint ideal for us gamers its not quite milking us...
Bubbles man I could not navigate that website for my life
While I agree its not the best written article in the world it does raise a good point that a lot of the biggest RPGs just started in the right place at the right time, WoW and FF7 both are loved and praised so much but only coz they hit the timing right, I can't explain it very well. Probably best to say each to his own and the only way a game can be over rated is if gets hyped n hyped
