One minor slight and very possibly insignificant thing about this which makes it a tad different to the last 8 years of motion control it
A) Works
B) Doesn't force you to ONLY use motion control
C) Involves actual proper CORE GAMES
Still I don't see it being the next huge thing but cool concept anyway
Would love to see this done with Demons/Dark Souls :D doubt this would ever be a mainstream thing but certainly is a cool proof on concept
Yay for Valzy :D
though really how could you only pick one character (seeing as there are no more than 1 character from every other series) I mean Fuka or Desco are so awesome and fenfen n that just Disgaea 4! What about Mao or Almaz . . . dammit I want Geoffrey he's Badass butler XD
Loved both Deamons and Dark Souls and happily got the plat on them both solo running everything that didnt require summons etc.
However trying to get soul tendency to pure black was hell. In that swamp the women Selen Vinland not only charges at you when you engage but also has the weapon "Blind" which ignores armour completely. So fighting her meant you couldn't run and you couldn't block
As for Soul Sucking well that was seen as cheap by...
If its about time and not position why on earth would you be racing on the track with other players? Surely a time trial with each player on there own over 5 laps would be better?
Hey man nice read, I agree that this seems to be cod/shooter focused, I wonder do you have such an opinion on other esport tittles such as Starcraft 2 lag and disconnects are much less an issues (though dcs still happen at tournament setting)
Also with thing like SC2 the experience factor does not ruin balance, most of the SC2 pros were not broodwar (SC1) pros and it more boils down to skill and being able to have solid mechanics of being able to play before balance is consi...
I managed to get it late last year it actually wasnt that bad, for some reason if you check the leader boards it will show you at the bottom a tonne of ppl who have been on the game but not played online, these all count as the overall % so when I did it there were 14K people on that week but only half of them had seemingly been active online, I think I ended up ranked 84 in the end of the week just with body count 200/30 n enjoyed it tbh
BOOM something I can brag about I have the Killzone 2 plat, I love KZ2 online actually loved the controls and the feel and the maps all aside from all the rocket noobs, you can still get top 1% online now a days just have to pure body count 200/30 games for 2-3 hours a day(depending how good you are), I did it over a week I had off last year sometime go for headshots and its 4 points per kill n was great fun :D elite runthrough was also tough with that so glad I managed it though my fav FPS
Amen to that, I started to look into plating Disgaea 3 after I finished it and was like- no after a little while
Disgaea 4 is interesting as I recently got that and all the trophies on that are hidden so I don't even know how bad that is ^^
I really don't like this kind of compensation defence, I can compromise the quality of the experience with game X because its open world, that means its ok. No it lowers the experience, I am not a fan of open world 'non linear' games personally and its partially this attitude why.
I especially don't like 'If you play open world games accept the bugs because they are unavoidable.' this is true to a certain extent, the extent that no game will be 100% b...
Perfect answer there I think, MGS4 has quite a few of its own set pieces which threw stealth outta the equation, and the fact you can get lots of different weapons and some really insane ones too just encourages a more of a TPS style of gameplay. There was a balance after all I've completed the game many times just using the operations pistole and the M4 custom (for bosses) mostly CQCing and being stealthy and think either way delivers a brilliant experience
Also have to ...
I don't even care if thats a stealth troll :P because I actually totally agree, honestly the game could be called Vanquish 2 and I'd still be way impressed. The fact its set in the Metal Gear universe just adds to it for me.
The only slight disappointment is that some of the 'free form' slicing style that was shown in 2010 seems to have been toned down, but to anyone who actually believed Rising was going to be a 'true Metal Gear Solid' with stealth a...
Would be intense for an RTS like Starcraft, duno if I could get comfortable without a mouse but if it was pixel perfect the face of players microing intensively would be insane
It was a great answer thanks :) yeah Mass effect is a good example of mixing both, though from the demo I wasnt too blown away by Mass Effect 2s shooting but may have to pick it up sometime, but its an interesting topic I'm actually about to go play Skyrim cause I saw some awesome conjuration spells being used and the advantage of such an open ended game is that chances are I can just go to wherever and learn it so I'm just gona go have some fun with that :) thanks again
Sorry for picking you out individually but this is something that always annoys me when I personally play games like Skyrim, Dark Souls where you make your own character - this character I make I have no interest in the slightest, I suffer from simply not caring about my character, yeah I level them up equip them with weapons teach them skills in order to destroy enemies, but through all the dialogue options, important choices that are made, dramatic events that happen I still feel that my ch...
Aww thanks :P you're to kind to me there, part of the reason I probably don't have that many bubbles is cause I've been on this site for 2 years check it daily and don't comment all that often, and when I do its kinda on this stuff and not the big main articles, I just like to read the comments on those more flame fuelled articles but I really enjoy talks about these kinda things and that's when the wall of text appears :P
The honest gamers review of Uncha...
You raise some good points about the scoring system, I totally agree that as we grow up from childhood we are given the idea of quantitative ratings, so I appreciate that there are scoring systems and weighted averages on those results such as sites like metacritic, however where I don't like these things is on the comparison side of things.
As you stated any points between 90-100 in a metacritic rating shouldn't be used as a benchmark for GOTY because the types of g...
The whole system of scoring with gaming reviews is pointless, I've always had the view that game reviews should not have any sort of numerical score.
First and foremost there is no 'Standard' for any game nothing for it to be back measured too in a clear way, instead we get these very random scores on parts of the game. Example graphics, Skyrim is a beautiful open world game with lots of detail in the majority of places variety of environments. Uncharted 3 a bril...
Totally with you especially point 12, I have some 360 fanboys where I work all they do is play cod and say the PS3 sucks. I pointed out the major flaws from broken online play - hacked in some cases - all the way to just how good other games are but if its not n FPS n not cod they don't want to know. Seriously like wasting my breath on it but its such a shame that this is kinda how cod is seen by some, as sheer domination of every game market and type for the reason only that everyone kno...
So you're encouraging online passes and second hand DLC content instead.
