The post-game content in the Dragon Quest games that I've played has always been significantly harder than the main quest. I had a really hard time with some of the later encounters and the final boss in particular. I'm sure it's still going to be a tough challenge even without the Draconian Quest. The best thing you can do now to make it more challenging for yourself is follow 3-4-5's advice and just limit your leveling. Avoid fighting every ene...

You may be too far in to restart but I highly recommend playing DQ11 with a couple of the Draconian Quest limitations on. This quality review fails to mention them at all but the game is simply too forgiving without them, requiring almost no strategy or preparation to complete dungeons. I played with the "Tougher Enemies" and "Less exp for easy fights" limitations and had an absolute blast from beginning to end. One of the most enjoyable JRPGs I've played in a long whi...

If there is no perceived political message then why are there so many comments on every DOOM: Eternal video claiming that the game is a middle finger to SJWs? People saying they are going to pre-order the game simply because of the "Mortally challenged" line. Can you explain how the game is a middle finger to SJWs if there is no perceived political message?

Of course, these people are idiots who either didn't understand the story in DOOM 2016 or didn't pl...

I do have to wonder if there is any crossover between the lads bemoaning politics in games and review bombing Wolf 2, and those now praising DOOM: Eternal for what they perceive to be "anti-immigration" messages in the Quakecon gameplay footage. Ah well.

At the same time, this ROME 2 thing is a little bit silly. If you're adding a feature to your game which is purely aesthetic and has absolutely no impact on the gameplay, then why not make it optional? You can...

2 is legitimately one of the games of the generation for me. I despised it at first -- you kind of have to meet it halfway and customize the difficulty to your liking. The default hard difficulty is way too easy and the default extreme difficulty is way too unforgiving. If you can strike a balance between the two it's great.

Hahahahahahahahah

They should take lessons from the new God of War which included combat arenas, a glory kill system, leveling system, abilities on cooldown, brutal combat with an emphasis on enemy prioritization etc. Of course, I'll get downvoted into oblivion despite being right, but both games have way more in common than you think. The game I was reminded of most while playing God of War besides Metroid, is Doom 2016. Both are great games.

Have you ever seen a corridor before??

I dunno, I find these kinds of games fun and challenging, they're all about the gameplay. I know it may not be as exciting as most modern games where two characters talk to each other in an unskippable cutscene, but maybe the next DOOM will introduce a spunky sidekick for the Marine?? One can hope.

Some elements have me a little concerned. Like, what incentive is there for invading other players? I hope there isn't an xp system or anything like that because I have no interest in playing this online. Not sure how I feel about extra lives either. If they're just an extra reward for exploration that revives you immediately upon death then that's cool, but I hope they're not ditching traditional checkpoints.

Besides that, I loved everything I saw. So bada...

I can't say I feel the same way about the first two but yeah, Resistance 3 was an extremely good game. It really saddens me that it just missed out on this old school shooter revival we're seeing at the moment. No one appreciated just how good R3 was when it came out because everyone was still infatuated with soulless, cinematic corridor shooters with a two weapon limit and regenerating health. Damn shame. Hopefully the series will get another shot in the future.

Ah man what a lovely story. The article doesn't mention it but the game costs less than a euro for those of you that are interested!

I picked it up after they removed the ability to buy gold and orcs, but I'm not sure they had done anything to re-balance the game by that point. What I can say is that I loved Shadow Of Mordor and War is very much the same thing... just a lot MORE of it. If you loved Mordor and haven't played it in a while, then I can pretty much guarantee you will have fun with War, but you will likely be fatigued long before the game ends. I played for 20 hours and still had two entire maps to visi...

That title doesn't actually appear on the article itself. "Wolfenstein 2 on Nintendo Switch Makes Us Wish for a Nintendo Switch Pro" is the actual headline, which is completely fair but who's gonna click that amiright?? Get them lads screaming at each other in the comments instead.

Thank god for Digital Foundry. I was this close to picking it up again on Switch but the additional input lag is a deal breaker for me. Very disappointing. Hopefully they can get a patch out for that soon.

Insomniac's blandest game is also its most successful. That's depressing, man. I'll never get a Resistance 4 but at least I can look forward to more R&C games with all the soul and charm stripped away. Great.

Crash 2 is a platforming masterpiece and still plays great in this collection. It already had great movement options but the added dash ability makes the time trials an absolute blast to play. I don't care for the other two games at all -- Crash 1 is incredibly boring and Crash 3 is gimmicky -- but Crash 2 is up there with the best 3D platformers for me.

My favorite part thing about MGS2 is that it's 80% cut-scenes, 15% orange struts, 3% codec and 2% actual stealth.

And I completely forgot that MGS2 is seamless. It absolutely doesn't load every single time you enter or exit an area. Even though I can remember it vividly with the satisfying sound of the automatic doors and the fade in with white text, it definitely didn't happen.

I like MGS2...... I have no idea why you brought it up or why yo...

You guessed right, I HATE gaming. I just wish it would go away. "Damn gaming" -- that's me, I say that all the time.

I don't mean to sound like I think my opinion is fact and I'm always happy to hear the reasons why people enjoyed a game. Glad you enjoyed it. I do like narrative driven games like this, though. I adored What Remains of Edith Finch last year and I even enjoyed Heavy Rain back in the day. I ...
