Switch seems to be closer in power to the Xbox 360 and PS3 than the PS4 and Xbox One. The hd version of Resi 4 that released on last gen consoles ran at 30fps with some framerate drops. When they announced this port, my only concern was that they would attempt to match the 60fps of the other modern versions. It runs a lot better than I expected it to, but the Steam version has an option to cap the framerate at 30fps which they absolutely should have carried over to the Switch.
Seeing a lot of comments here from people who clearly didn't read the article and are just reacting to the (admittedly clickbaity) title. The article itself has nothing but praise for Resident Evil 4, but is basically saying that it was the drastic changes introduced in 4 that would eventually lead to 5 and 6 taking the piss with the action stuff and causing the series to lose a lot of its identity. I can't really argue against it, but I'm not going to blame Resi 4. It was a neces...
On their printed magazine.
I assume the people voting you down have never played Tropical Freeze. Yes, it is absolutely one of the best 2D platformers ever made. Celeste, Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends are the top three for me, though Mario Bros 3 and World aren't far behind. Can't think of too many 3D platformers In the same class as the 3D Mario stuff but To the Top on PSVR comes pretty damn close.
I liked Blacklist, but if we get a trailer this E3 and it's just more of the Conviction/Blacklist style, I'll be hugely disappointed. There is a huge gap in the market for an old-school, hardcore stealth game like Thief or Chaos Theory. I want slow, methodical gameplay in non-linear environments -- I'm sick to death of convenient chest high cover and being able to mark enemies to see them through walls.

Yeah. Devil May Cry 5, the best action game released this generation. What of it?
The writing made me cringe so hard but I still ended up liking the main cast a lot. Very enjoyable game, especially if you play non-lethally.
Same here. Was convinced I was going to pick up Rage 2, but I'm just not really feeling it after watching several reviews. This on the other hand looks very interesting.
Shouldn't have to write these articles about genuinely great games. I dunno if it's just the name that puts people off but this isn't anything like Gone Home or Virginia, it's a much more involved game and it's excellent. Check the Steam reviews, it's not just the critics that loved it.
They added the ability to reset classes in this newest version, you were locked in on the PS4. You can also switch between multiple sets of Gambits now which honestly should have been in the game back on PS2. There are some slight improvements too like being able to stop the camera auto adjusting behind the character. I assume all of this stuff will be patched into the PS4 and PC versions soon.
I figured Bayo 3 was a 2020 game when they announced Astral Chain was coming this year. They've released multiple games in the same year before, but I can't see them releasing two Nintendo exclusive character action games between now and December.
He didn't lose access to his entire library, he lost access to his digital games which he bought through Sony's store. Sony has a right to take that content away, you may not like that in which case you are completely free to shop elsewhere, but you accepted their terms when you bought those games. You really don't need to worry too much, I've never had a single game taken from me, neither have you or any of the people commenting on your blog because most people don't go a...
He sounds like an absolute scumbag. Pretty depressing to read the comments in there saying that Sony messed up here. It's a temporary ban and he completely deserves it.
I think straight up bullshit is a little harsh, but I'm interested to see if opinions change on this one down the road like they did with Dark Souls 2. There is some good stuff in Sekiro but the combat and stealth mechanics are underdeveloped and the difficulty is a little insane at times, at least in the first 8 or so hours. Once you get to grips with it, it's more enjoyable but I wonder how many people will just switch off at Lady Butterfly or the bull. I came pretty close.
Much prefer the Nintendo Direct approach over E3. It's cool to have exciting announcements dotted throughout the year instead of just one big blowout.
If you really enjoyed it then you should go back and play through it again on Son of Sparda and start aiming for S ranks. Devil May Cry 5 has more mechanical depth and replayability than any big AAA blockbuster in recent memory. It's a game I can see myself playing for years.
This makes it sound like it's the Switch's fault. All of these issues were present in the PS4 version when I played it and are presumably in the Xbox version too. The music bug and the fact that they mapped digital movement to the analog stick shows that this was just a lazy port to begin with. The PSone Classics version on PS3 and PSP is the better way to play it if you don't mind the long load times of the original.
Steamworld Dig 2 and Momodora are good shouts, but Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom is the best Metroidvania I've played in years and the fact it doesn't appear on this list just shows that it passed everyone by. I really hope it gets more attention when it arrives on Steam because a game of that quality getting overlooked is just ridiculous.
Look at the disagrees. Surprisingly, there are very vocal fans of the first game who believe Aiden Pearce is a "badass". He's one of the least remarkable, least memorable protagonists I've ever played as. The writing in 2 could be cheesy and cringey for sure, but each member of the cast is memorable and it's hard not to like them all by the end of the game. I think the best bet is to have both Marcus and Aiden but I hope Ubisoft grows some balls and goes all in on the st...
Super Hexagon and One Finger Death Punch are two of my most played Steam games and together they cost like €7. I think Hollow Knight was like €15 when it launched and they could have easily charged twice that amount.
