No, beta are meant to check gameplay feedback from players. Bugs and finding technical problems isn't the priority, they don't need us for that, QA testers can find holes too. If that was the case, they would've made us check every other map.
Of course if you find bugs, that would help them to report them but what a dev really wants to check with a beta test is player's gameplay feedback, and eventually the network stability for online multiplayer gam...
Pre-ordered it on PC and no intention to cancel it.
People tend to think devs build the beta version, then wait for feedback and then work on it again for a patch while doing nothing or playing around between these last two phases.
Get in the real world people, developers are workers, they have to work if they are not in holidays and beta-testing phase doesn't mean holidays for them.
While open-betas are going on, they still do their internal testing and are constantly working on the game. Many things were probably...
The setting, the flowchart and the way to get to the game is horrible in this beta, but the game itself is really fun and once you're in the heat of the battlefield, you can hardly get out of it.

@Shackdaddy836
No it will be limited to 32 players in the beta.
But I think every map can welcome 64 players in the final product.
I agree... but your avatar and name make me want to say something^^
Title's a little misleading. Initially, Asia was not listed among the areas covered by the open beta but now it's confiremd they are. But they have to wait until 29th september like us all.

Lol, I bought The complete Battlefield Bad Company 2 pack (Special kit + Vietnam DLC) on steam at 10€.
In that off-cam footage everything in the screen glows, there's no way to tell by that which is better.
@aawells07
It's called "-ism", and it has been done for centuries, no thousands of years.
We've already seen much of daytime footage. Everyone was waiting this one because it was one of the first night gameplay.
If you meant on the X360, I understand though, but I think DICE has been showing pretty fairly all their version. In fact, I can't think of a multiplat dev other than DICE showing so different platform versions of their game before release.
It's a death sentence for Modern Warfare 3. But it should be painless, Battlefield 3's Guillotine looks really sharp.
Yeah who would have thought it, but DICE delivers^^
I think it's a little risky to ask if they play FIFA in Japan...
Maybe it's published by SEGA in Japan, like Call of Duty games are published by Square there.
Or maybe EA didn't have anything else to show at TGS so they asked SEGA to let them present it at their booth...
Love to, but I can't imagine it happening technologically right now...
@rabidpancakeburglar
There's still a risk that EA would saturate its military FPS releases with a Medal of Honor/Battlefield cycle every 2 years. They are not the same series, but when you look at Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor (2010), you can see they're VERY similar in terms of approach and play (authentic and documentary style campaign + multiplayer developed by DICE which felt very much like Battlefield).
And things could get worse in that perspective with the re...
It's also a new type of map for Battlefield, they needed to see player's reaction on it more than they did with a classical Battlefield-type map like Caspian.
