The point is... you can max out a system with PONG. It depends on how wisely you're using the resources you're given. Just because it's maxed out, doesn't mean the games won't get better as seen with this gen.
Look at GTA IV, there's no doubt that Rockstar's engine was squeezing every last drop of power that they knew how to squeeze, but then look at GTA V's massive improvements in lighting and animation... that's how you optimize.
Nobody cares.
I saw a lot of the same animations between Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 and nobody gives those games crap.
Big friggin' deal. Who cares?
Were people really complaining about bashing their knuckles into the battery pack before?
I'm fine with 30fps. Some of this generation's best games only ran at 30fps.
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
The Last of Us
GTA V
Beyond Two Souls
Infamous: Festival of Blood.
I've got a DualShock 4 and I'm not a huge fan of the ridges around the thumb stick tops. It doesn't feel as comfortable as the round top.
I want them to also let us choose between touch controls and console controls.

You said the PS4 version has 30 more frames per second, then you gave me a link to a google search for "Assassin's Creed Black Flag 1080p on PS4" which has nothing to do with frame rate.
Again... where's your proof that AC4 is 60fps on PS4?
The PS4 is next gen, but the game is built with current-gen in mind. It's not like they just press a magic button and BOOM, they get a next gen looking game.
This looks more like a current-gen PC game to me.
It's gonna take them longer to build a proper next-gen engine to make the PS4 really shine.
Proof?
This game looks very last gen. The lighting really looks bad after seeing GTA V and The Last of Us.
When has a console other than Nintendo ever been about 60fps?
This is correct. The processor speed has nothing to do with 60fps. It's up to the developers to decide what they want to put the most resources into. Do they wanna have a 60fps game with okay visuals or do they want a 30fps game with advanced physics, lighting and visual effects?
The PS3 can do 60fps.
60fps isn't a big deal, but if you want more advanced graphics/lighting/physics, you're going to need to cut the framerate down.
This guy is being realistic right here.
Yeah, you can have that with last-gen PC games, but not next gen console games.
I think the console tradition will continue gravitating toward a 30fps target due to the graphics and physics getting more complex as the years go on. 60fps isn't necessary.
Crash Bandicoot?
