All of these people, foolishly swearing up and down that Microsoft and/or Sony are bringing new consoles in 2012, none of them have the fortitude to "put somethin on it"....say like, a $60 game of choice.
That's goes to show you that they don't even believe this foolishness.
But yeah....RAZOR BLADE BUSINESS MODEL.
Those who don't know what that is, they should google or Wiki it.
RAZOR BLADE BUSINESS MODEL is also the reason a successful full video game consoles can never be digital distribution ONLY....but that's for a different topic.
Are Microsoft in the planning stages? sure.
But you'd have to be plenty naive to believe that Microsoft, and the companies that build the components can plan, design, fab, test, market, and launch a brand new STATE OF THE ART console in a mere 1 year.
Same goes for the developers who make the games.
Considering how broken the current gen consoles have been, why would anyone even want that?
It takes years for all of that t...
I've said this for years.
Prone to failure, expensive, few features, few games.
You are almost literally a PAYING guinea pig.
You want to wait approx 2 years.
But, if you've got plenty of cash, then have at it, I guess.
--The firm has also spoken to the major console manufacturers, which Wilson said have been “been eager to work with” Blizzard, but he still expects a bit of “negotiation” to still occur regarding the online component.--

So does this mean they are going to bring BATTLE.NET, or at least a version of it, to consoles, Something like PS3 Steam?
Are Blizzard planning on the same monetization strategy?
Such as JRPG's....most/many American critics don't seem to judge those correctly.
Also, downloadable titles seem to often get misjudged, as if they were full Retail games. However, I'm only referring to retail games here.
Also, when looking at Metacritic, the total number of reviewers is also key. "The more: The better"
So, if you don't mind me asking, are there any 60'ish and below games that you'd recommend?
What...
At least we'd have a game that actually works correctly.
And I do actually pay close attention to the scores.
Why? Because
1. I'm on a tight budget, and each game I buy has to count.
2. I have yet to be let down by a 90's rated game (assuming I like the genre).
I basically look it like this.
90 - 100 = GREATNESS
80 - 89 = Good
70 - 79 = Average'ish
Most of the 30 games in my collection happen to be in the 90...
Until they start losing serious money, this "launch a broken game and fix it when we fix it" situation will continue to get worse.
Have you looked at your XMB and noticed that VOICE, VIDEO, and TEXT chat has been available for years?
How many times have you used it, out of curiosity?
I'm almost ready to trade my game in because as a team game, it's half-way game breaking.
3 weeks and counting.
Arm Processors are mainly for Mobile devices.
A tablet does NOT equal a console.
Also,
Because of the PSN...because of all of the games, movies, music...but specifically the games on the PSN that require a CELL PROCESSOR to run, the PS4 will HAVE TO HAVE a Cell, or a Cell Derivative.
Whether that means the PS4 will have a CELL Processsor inside as a secondary CPU Like the PS3 orignally had at launch, or if whether it contains something like Toshiba's CEVO-Like derivative (Google Toshiba's CEVO for TVs), those specifics are unknown.
...
In my BATMAN games, I get to play as Spiderman.
On the PS3 I can barely even have decent conversations because the Mics are so damn bad.
This game shouldn't even have been launched with the myriad of problems.
EA and other developers launching rushed and incomplete games like this should get sued because any other product(s) that launch broken like this would get recalled.
But XBOX 360 (known as XBOX 2) was known about YEARS before it was announced at E3.
Here you go bro:
"Known during development as Xbox Next, Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox FS or NextBox,[19] the Xbox 360 was conceived in early 2003.[20] In February 2003, planning for the Xenon software platform began, and was headed by Microsoft's Vice President J Allard.[20] That month, Microsoft held an event for 400 developers in Bellevue, Washington to recruit support for the system...
It takes YEARS to plan, develop, fabricate, market, and launch a successful console, mistr......YEARS, not months.
If XBOX 3 was actually under SERIOUS development, we would have seen or heard of it by now, just as we knew about XBOX 360 in early 2003, and that was BEFORE everyone had cameraphones, and internet access wherever we walk.....just like we knew about XBOX 1 in 1999.
At this point, we'll be LUCKY if we can just get a console in 2013.
Again...
If by "almost over", you mean 2 - 3 years from now we'll have a new XBOX 3 and/or a PS4....then ok, sure.
But I have to caution you.....most people don't think 2 to 3 years as something very near....I certainly don't.
But hey, in 2 to 3 years time, we should have some nice technology in the new HD systems. :)
Walmart's Wii's are $99.96, and then Zelda WITH Gold controllers are $60.
So, effectively, that would be 1 Wii with 2 controllers and Zelda for $160.
They've also got BATMAN, Gears 3, and BF3 for $28.
And for a nice small bonus, Yakuza 4 is $10.
Walmart's beatin up on Target.
Twisted Metal....Hello :)
