GDDR5 is better for graphical tasks than DDR3 by a country mile.
The reason that Microsoft went with DDR3 is because DDR3 is better for things NON GAMER related.....like multitasking so you can watch TV and talk to your Kinnect at the same time.
Only, the Kinnect has now been virtually abandoned.
XBONE was designed to be a gaming SECOND machine.

Does everyone understand that this NX is going to be a handheld hybrid?
It's going to have a video out for the TV, and probably some sort of wireless (maybe wired too) connection so you can connect a controller to it. Of course it will also have some buttons on the handheld itself so you can take it on the go like a traditional Gameboy/DS.

I'm pretty much a Playstation fan, but I do happen to agree with the gist of your sentiment. More competition is good for all of us gamers, So, I'm giving you your only agree. But for the record, Microsoft would screw us even harder if they were the only ones in console gaming. They tried screwing us during the reveal, so that's 100% proof. Anyways, enjoy your agree. :)
@PistolsAtDawn........Hey I'm not gonna downvote you, but I just wanted to address your issue/concern about why it seems Sony's first party exclusives are taking so long. The reason is because it takes years to make a game, and if you recall, Sony's studios were making games way late into the PS3's 7th generation lifespan. Alot of people seem to not know or understand this, but it takes several years to make a game. No big deal, but I just wanted to say this and I hope ...

We all realize that Sony has been having financial trouble in other areas like TV's and cameras, but I don't think that has anything to do with their video game division. In fact, it probably strengthens Sony's video game unit seeing as that's one of, if not the strongest divisions/units in Sony's portfolio. Wouldn't you agree?

I admit the Star Wars PS3 bundle could have been designed better, but it also should be admitted that the XBOX ONE is fairly ugly by default.

Their handhelds have always been the strongest side of Nintendo's gaming.....but Nintendo also sees that phones and tablets are now stealing some of their guaranteed (used to be) userbase, as the 3DS handhelds aren't as successful as it used to be.
