While I'm excited for some of those games you just listed they are all sequals and reboots. The subject of the article is NEW ideas and innovations. I still have high hopes that VR will be that innovation.
Gotta love video game hipsters that hate on skyrim cause they liked the elder scrolls series before it was cool. Even with the bugs skyrim pulled me into its world like no other game has before and I've been a gamer for 30 years. I put over 400 hours into that game and wanted to see every nook and cranny in the game and still never saw everything.
I've always felt all the voice acting in mgs was the low point of the series. Very cheesy for a mature game about warfare. I'm currently replaying mgs3 and some of the dialogue makes me cringe. That might of been passable 10 or more years ago but video games have come so far since then that I expect to be able to take the dialogue seriously. Games like uncharted and others have set the bar too high.
I still have to give it to skyrim but the witcher is definitely a top 3. Probably just behind gta5.
If e3 doesn't announce some great looking new IPs and a maybe some much anticipated sequals, I believe this gen will truly be lost and the console market will be digging its own grave. There should not be more remasters than new game announcements. At some point even 5he blind defenders of remasters will get fed up and it will be too late to save this gen.
I fully agree nick. As is the game is mediocre but in there somewhere there is a brilliant game. They just made a few wrong turns with the gameplay. Some of the gameplay is great but it just needs a little more something else. Hopefully they figure out what that thing is with the sequel.
For me the merchants only show on the map when your in their town. They aren't just always on the map if im out in the open field.
I remember not too long ago reading an article about a leak that a resident evil 2 remake would be coming quarter 4 2016 so that would make since to give people resident evil zero early 2016 to hold us over for a full on resident evil 2 remake. I also hope they also remake 3 and code veronica and maybe a true remaster of 4. Then find a way to say 5 and 6 were just a dream and restart the real story after 4.
Am I the only one having trouble picking things up and getting on the horse? It takes me multiple button presses along with repositioning to get things. The movement also feels weird and almost too fast and hoverboard like. Hope they fix those issues. The game as a whole is pretty amazing though.
I hate that these remasters are being called HD remasters. If they were on ps3 or xb360 they were already HD. Resident evil remake got a pass because a lot of people actually missed out on that one since it was primarily a gamecube game that also was released over 10 years ago. But games that were on every system including PC that were released just a couple years ago and already in HD just seem so pointless. If capcom must then why not do a full REMÀKE of resident evil 2?
As much as people don't want to admit it, and I'll be happy to eat my words if we start seeing things in the next year, but so far ps4 is really PS3.5 and Xb1 is really Xbox 540. Slightly higher resolution and a sometimes higher frame rate does not make what I consider to be a next gen machine. How many games can anyone truly say are new gen only that could never be done on last gen hardware? Why do you think we are seeing so many cross gen games almost 2 years after the fact. The amo...
Pretty dead on as bummed out as that makes me.
No! Not every game needs a sequel and unless the last of us can nail it 110% it could take away from how powerful the original story is on its own. Let the story stand on its own and focus on another great new IP.
Does that mean there's no dungeons at all and everything takes place on top of the world map?
Can any witcher fans answer a question for me? Is the witcher like skyrim where almost every questline means going to one of over a hundred "dungeons" around the world map and clearing it out or is it more the questlines take place on the service of the world map?
Can't help but wonder what a tony hawk game would play like on project Morpheus.
Resident evil 2 HD remake and possibly a Resident evil 0 HD remaster.
If the demo trailer is to be believed and you can throw a virtual HD TV against the wall then its worth every penny for that alone not to mention all the other ways it can be used. Like its been mentioned before hololense isn't just for Xbox. Im a PlayStation gamer and I'm still very interested in hololense.
I can't speak for Hololense but having played with the oculus rift I can say without a doubt that VR headsets are the real deal and will completely change how games are played for the better. Not to mention the other things that are possible like virtual tours of museums or even mars if you wanted. The possibilities are endless. I can promise this is no kinect or Wii remotes. This is the future.
Hah i just accused someone else of being a hipster on a different article. Like I said I'm currently in the middle of replaying mgs3 and listening to Eva and her sexual innuendos or every time I save and have to hear those cheesy conversations about if snake has seen attack of the martions or how snake always sounds like he's jizzing his pants when he talks I realize how far voice acting has come.
