I agree Zero and I think Fallout 4 was a good example of that. I mean we all knew it was coming but rather than get everyone all worked up with tidbits over a few years, Bethesda just debuted it at E3 then released it 5 months later. I think that's a really good strategy. Doing it that way also leaves some mystery to the game instead of having hours of gameplay and story leak over years of rumors and screen shots and videos.
I totally get that delays happen and would rather a game be polished but my question is what happened to all the talk before ps4/xb1 were even officially announced about new technologies in the upcoming console gen that would cut development time in half and all this other stuff? It makes sense that with advanced tech it would take longer to make these games but they were saying otherwise just a few years ago.
I saw a quick thing on adult swim last night that that guy could have sold those bottle caps on eBay for about twice the price of the actual game.

You son of a B! That has to be one of the most well said arguments I've ever seen on a comments section I've ever seen. Especially on N4G. I'll give credit where it's due and you laid out an intelligent argument. I mean let's not get it twisted I still stand by what I said and that I do hope we get a ff7 that's not completely removed from the original ESPECIALLY as far as combat world map and locations go but it's nice to have an intelligent deb...
@Daddypoppa
So your telling me you first beat ff7 to completion at age 5 and 18 times since then? Ok I'll buy that even if it's unlikely but it's still very possible. I'm sure there's a handful of others like you but it doesn't change the fact that would put you in the minority of people under 25 that have actually played the game and can appreciate it for what it is and also what it was for its time. I guarantee you there's a ton of people under 25 that mi...
What's with all the people against turn based battle systems and wanting to see them make a bunch of changes and disagreeing with everybody that wants them to leave the games core the same? Sorry but if your under the age of 25 you shouldn't even have an opinion on this. This remake was not asked for or made for you. Have we learned nothing from Hollywood movie remakes? Remake robocop and total recall and then dumb it down and try to make it more accessible to casual fans then wonder ...
I agree foxtrot.
Final fantasy hasn't been turned based or active time battle for a long time so what better time to revisit that style of gameplay than with a remake of a game that nailed it in the first place. I love turn based/active time battle and how you have to strategize when to heal and when to attack and when to pull out the big summon spells. What's the point of doing a remake of a game that people love and was almost perfect to begin with if your going to just go ...
I think this remake actually makes me more excited for FF15. Now I can have both a new school and old school style final fantasy.
I'd almost bet that we see zelda in some form. Most likely a port of twilight princess or possibly a new 3ds iteration.
I thought it was just a given that there was a new one every year. I do hope there is at least one major surprise left for E3 that hasn't been leaked yet.
I'm really curious to know what's going on with the new Zelda. Nintendo pretty much swore up and down that it would be released in 2015 then decided that not only are they not going to make that release but now they won't even show any of the progress they have made since last years E3? What are they hiding?
Can anyone tell me if I got one of these and set it up in my bedroom would I also be able to stream Netflix and Hulu or does it only stream ps4 games?
@thelwebb100
I never said open world games couldn't look great. I'm saying they will never be at the top of the graphics chart in comparison to games that focus on graphics and more linear gameplay ala the order. My point was I don't think fallout 4 looks bad at all.
I throw rime in there cause Sony made a statement awhile back saying VR can be used with games other than first person. I want to see them prove that.
I think it would be a great change of pace to see a big game actually release the same year it was announced instead being 2 years out.
Geez I thought the graphics actually looked really good when I watched the trailer. At least for a gigantic open world game that's coming still relatively early in the current gen. Especially compared to fallout 3 and is a lot more colorful. Open world games will never have the graphical comparison to more straight forward games like uncharted.
I think rime, no mans sky, everyone's gone to the rapture and possibly last guardian could all be announced as project Morpheus compatible games at E3. They all fit the vision of what VR could be. I'd put money on at least one of those being project Morpheus titles.
@silvacrest
I think for the most part your right. The thing about David hayter is that I like his voice a lot but not his line delivery if that makes sense.
Final fantasy 4 6 and 7 all still rate incredibly high up there for me too.
I'd like to see Seattle but also have them incorporate mount Rainer as a erupted volcanos.
