"Sony spends all this money on blu-ray and not on exclusive, keeping the exclusives they have or getting new exclusives."
This topic was about Blu-Ray and not about games. But since you mentioned it IMHO it's harming everyone to pay for exclusives = pay for NOT doing a game on another platform. I'd rather support a company that uses that money to make MORE instead of LESS.
"Even if blu-ray wins the format war, where does this leave sony, with a $60...
That was a very interesting piece of information. My faith in science has been almost restored! :) Thanks bro for the article.
"Fact is. The 360 is selling more and better then the PS3 at this point in time. And that's the most important. The most games, the best games, the most and best exclusives, the best online network"
Why? Do you have a large bet going or are you a shareholder of Microsoft? You get commissions when advertising them?
Otherwise I don't see what the hell does it matter to anyone if one outsells another. Only thing that affects your gaming life positively is ...
"It is one of the most powerful chips, perhaps the most powerful, in terms of raw power," said Marc Snir, head of the UI Computer Science Department and a principal investigator in the UI's collaboration with IBM to do more than play games on the company's groundbreaking Cell processor.
Sounds pretty impressive, hopefully that means a LOT of untapped gaming performace aswell =)
Too early to say anything. I'd wait till the end of 2007 when both systems are on more equal ground.
You are not the only one. I have always thought that the only places you need force feedback is racing wheels and joysticks - only when playing flight sims.
Don't understand what joy does a vibrating toy-like controller bring to anyone. Thumb massage?
Agree 100%, lots of good conversations and articles are blown away by these daddy's little terrorists.
Microsoft try this over and over again. They are once more setting up a new business model based on already invented technology, copy it and use their sheer size and incredible funds to run over competition.
But it's just business and the same plan is on every company's pocket, I just hope none of them gets too dominant.
and neither take seriously:
1. An Xbox 360 review / comparison in PS oriented magazine
2. A PS3 review / comparison in Xbox oriented magazine
Oh such wisdom...
Sony does not seem to do paid exclusives, that's why most of the games appear to come to Xbox 360. Which is by itself a very good thing, hope Microsoft stops it aswell so gamers have more choice.
OpenGL was the major 3D API but after MS started pushing it's new Direct3D it gained dominant position over OpenGL in Windows gaming. Similarly did MS push Word over WordPerfect, IE over Netscape and tried to get everyone to use Microsoft Network instead of public ISP's to connect to internet.
It doesn't say the dominant is always the best (or the worst for that matter) and OpenGL is used in professional CG graphics. I'd say both 3D API's are capable of similar / satisfying qu...
This Epic guy values every console since they all have unique qualities. Don't you think there's something to learn from him?
At least try to pretend +14 years old? This arguing is getting boring.
TheMART you are incredible. Whatever the news you always twist it 360 vs PS3. You have a real obsession with this one, I wonder what the reason is?
Anyway just enjoy the good news, even Moore seems to have put down most of his guns.
Are you "friends" of Microsoft? That sounds quite ridicilous, it's just a company that tries to bring profit and take over the markets.
Gates is the richest man in the world so he's got pleanty to share from. I suppose he's goal to get the Nobel prize is coming closer thanks to you loyal fans. Just don't forget the morally questionable ways he's made his fortune.
Their advertising company screwed up badly. Someone's gonna get spanked :)
Yep the expansion pack is download only. They'll in trouble when the next expansion comes on top of this one.
The game looks nice but the resolution and fps needs to bee experienced first hand.
Looks great but there's one thing I've always hated about fighting games: the lack of reality in hits.
When you hit someone with a sword it just goes thru your opponent and he gets "-10" of health. Man that's just ridicilous! I think next-gen hardware could do much better than that. I'd love to see the sword REALLY hit the target and stop there damaging the body part it hit. And if I manage to drive the blade across the opponent, he would literally snap in two. Of co...
425 / 0.6585 = 645 euros, according to my calculator. What the hell are you freakin over 850?
That just might be the blockbuster PS3 has been looking for.
