Hope that the next boss will be a younger lad.. a "real" gamer. I don't know if I'm the only one thinking this but aren't these console bosses a bit old grumpy men..? Trying to be gamers and playing their games just for the sake of their jobs.
..and not to be taken too seriously... as every other Sony / MS executive BS. Just keep them games coming!
That thing looks PRETTY! Now gimme fallout 3 with identical graphics.
Looks great! Once they polish these little glitches it's a must for me.
What "sony fan" is talking about is simply a matter of taste.
Sony fan, if you've managed to avoid this advice let me be the one to say it to you: never debate about matters of taste. I for example don't care a squat about FPS games but majority does - so let them :)
If I recall correctly Joystiq hasn't had many positive news about Sony. With that in mind the preview was a big positive superlative to the game.
I haven't been very interested in Heavenly Sword before but after this I am. Roughly the same happened with Lair when I read CVG's preview.
Next thing I need is a PS3. Now where is that bundle offer.. haven't seen it around in Finland.
The idea in that article is very true. But to be fair one can say that same kind of optimization will happen with 360 also.
But how much can be squeezed outta each system remains to be seen. As a guess I'd say PS3 has more potential because of it's parallel nature - which makes the optimization more difficult and therefore can be assumed to be at an early stage at the moment.
"UT3 now running better on PS3 than Gears on 360 last year"
Man that's just cruel ;-)
In 8 years there will be such a big userbase that it don't matter if the console is outdated. Only a fraction of the console owners has to buy the game and it will be on number one spot. I'm pretty sure that is where the real money is made.
Wii doesn't have the graphics nor the CPU strength, just their game controller that can easily be replicated by MS, Sony or a third party company, Logitech for example. Their number one spot is not on very stable ground - but that's just my opinion.
A good thing that they mention both consoles in that line. Should calm down fanboys on both sides.
Holy crap that was awesome, the screenshot where you can see the paradise city hollywood-type sign! This will be major fun.
You practically begged for it ;)
This comment has it all: it's pointless, has no logic, has no sense, no argument - a total zero. If you wanna argue about something please at least try to justify your statements with something other than with your small opinion.
as long as you say they are rumours like in this post. This is a good one, thanks for the tipper / publisher.
Those figures should have been detailed to different brands. It's quite clear that PS3 is most utilized as a HD player but it's market share is low.
A local magazine compared 360 and PS3 as a HD player, PS3 got 4/5 stars while 360 2/5 stars. So if this is really the case then I'd guess 360 will never be a popular HDDVD player.
It looks ok and pretty detailed but folks overhype it a too much. As a reality check the water effects we're almost non existent and the game seemed pretty linear.
But the game is coming in December (I think) so it would be a miracle if it was amazing at this stage. Actually it should be crappy if it's half year away from launch! So considering that I'd say it is a very good piece of game.
Yea, especially when their online magazine has been practically synonym to xbox magazine. And now this.
I noticed the videos were choppy but the stills are fantastic. I don't know if it's the video or the game but maybe it's best seen really on action. I suppose 1080p and steady fps (?) will convince me when/if witnessed with my own eyes.
One thing that has lately convinced me is computerandvideogames.com. Those guys are pretty radical anti-sony folks and still they praised it to heaven after their preview.
I thought Wii doesn't support such resolution?
