@BrutallyHonest: But it is strange that people usually don't feel nausea while watching movies. Because almost all movies ever released in theaters are 24fps, even 3D and action movies (even Avatar is 24fps). Even when you are watching movie on Bluray or DVD, they are still shown as 24fps on your TV.
@vulcanproject and seanpitt32: They cost that much right now but not couple years from now. As with every technology, those parts cost less than half as much in less than 2 years. Heck, perhaps even in less than 1 year. 4-5 years from now and those components would not cost more than $100 and would be considered completely outdated. Yes, even these components.
This is forgotten by many which talk about technology, prices of components go down very quickly. If you buy PC costi...
Then again, in most of the europe X1 haven't been released yet.
I still wouldn't say that X1 wouldn't even reach 80 million considering that X1 is selling a lot more than 360 did at the same time. Actually twice as much. And even 360 have sold over 80 million with much slower start. And 360 had much wider release that X1 and still it had 50% less sales.
Sure, X1 might not reach 80 million but nothing in first sale figures suggest that yet. Actually, first sales are actually incredibly high for both consoles.
Well, it takes at least couple years before next generation game sales are approaching games sales of previous generation. Releasing games on next generation only would mean losing a lot of money. Most people wait at least couple of years before they buy next generation console. I have planned to buy PS4 but not until there are enough games and it has gotten enough OS updates. That probably means around 1-2 years from now...
Then again, I don't really care about graphics ...
@TGR: Considering that WP has been around already over 3 years (first WP phones were released 2010), 10% market in just one tiny part of the world is not great achievement (Europe has just 10% of the world population). Worldwide, WP is still at under 5% market share and in most of the world almost non-existant.
Edit. Comparing to Android... Android was as 3-year-old OS a market leader. It didn't take more that few months for Android to reach current WP levels.
Some people do, some people don't. Even now Apple sell old iPhone models more than they sell new iPhones. Even iPhone 4 (and I don't mean 4S) still sells a lot although it was released years ago.
And I may be different from others because I used my last phone for 6 years. Actually, my current phone is first smartphone I have owned and I don't even consider buying new one for at least 3-4 years. Even if firmware doesn't update, it doesn't mean phone doesn...
Those games don't get any worse if you play them few months or even years later. I play 10-year-old games all the time and they are still good. So in that sense you lose absolutely nothing by waiting. And I buy over 90% of my games after price cuts anyway (that is still better than movies which I haven't bought at full price for last 5 years).
@MMEHTA: Actually, none of the quotes refer to 1080p. He only talks about 60fps, not even once about 1080p. Those couple mentions of 1080p are not quotes from IW.
A lot of those can be done with PS4 too (some even with PS3). Voice control, voice recognition, motion control etc are also on PS4. And cloud gaming isn't that hard to add on PS4 too. Why would it be when it has been on PC many years? Ok, servers cost a lot but that is the only limit.
MS doesn't own cloud gaming, anyone can create cloud for gaming. MS didn't create cloud gaming, it has been around for years on PC. Sure, gaming on cloud hasn't been mostly that ...
@isa_scout: Well, there are a lot of people which hate Michael Bay movies and I'm one of them. They are dull and not funny at all and they don't even look good IMO. Then again, last Bay movie which I've seen is Transformers 2 and it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I almost slept during the movie, it was so dull.
The same thing about CoD, I've only played CoD:MW and MW2 but I only liked MW and MW2 was not good. After that, I decided that I woul...
I think Rockstar owes absolutely nothing to Sony anymore. Anyway, that $20M is tiny amount compared to possible losses if they only release it on PS4. Unless, of course, Agent is a huge flop. For example, GTA5 would have probably made at least $500M less money if were released exclusively on PS3 or 360. So, $20M doesn't motivate anything, it is currently so tiny amount in game business.
I believe that Agent will be released on other consoles too, just maybe few months aft...
Most used doesn't mean it is the best. For example all keyboards have QWERTY-layout. It doesn't mean it is the fastest layout, it is just a layout to which have gotten used to. Every single study about layouts shows that QWERTY is actually one slowest layouts. Which isn't surprising if you know history of typing machines. QWERTY was actually invented to SLOW typing and prevent stuck keys in typewriter, NOT to speed up typing. Now stuck keys don't happen but that doesn't ma...
@PandaMobile: Because 99.9% of the other software than games don't benefit at all from 64bit. Actually, most software would work well with 0.1 GB RAM if OS would be smaller. Office software has absolutely no benefit at all from 64bit. Actually, in most cases 32bit version is just as fast than 64bit version. A lot of times 32bit version is even faster than 64bit version.
Also, one reason why they are still supporting 32bit is backwards compability. Big companies have old s...
@MKDA: Well, I only have used Facebook few times but I haven't used in several months. It is pretty useless to me so I'm thinking deleting my Facebook account. None of the others I haven't even tried and I don't even care to try. Some people want to share what they do, most people don't. It is a nice feature but I definitely won't use it.
Btw. There are over 7 billion people in the world so 200 million+ is only small fraction of the population.
Well, you don't need HD even now. It is nice to have HD TV but there is absolutely nothing which requires HD. There are no movies, games, consoles or TV stations which requires HD. Everything works perfectly even with 20 year-old TV. You could even play everything on PS3 without HD TV (I actually know people who use old non-HD TV with PS3). A lot of people want 1080p TV but none of them NEED 1080p TV.
Then again, going past 100 fps in any game is really just waste of resources. Most PC monitors only do 60 fps so you actually can't see more frames. I have heard some PC enthusiast talk about how their PC can do 200 fps and actually think they can see difference between 60 fps and 200 fps. In reality, they can't because monitor only has 60 fps maximum. I don't think anyone can actually see difference between 60 and 120 fps when few people even see difference between 30 and 60 fps....
Almost every zombie movies or games nowadays are all infection. So there is absolutely no difference between "infected" and zombies because zombies are always infected.
What I've seen of the game, there is absolutely no difference between zombies and "infected". Everything in trailer suggested game is all about zombies. If game isn't about zombies then trailer lies.
If you think about it, even in Resident Evil or The Walking Dead there are no zombies then because those people are also having an infection. They are zombies because they have an infection. The truth is that most current zombie movies and games start with infec...
Those bars only make screen smaller, it has absolutely nothing to do with cinematic feel. In fact, those bars make game look LESS cinematic and worse to play. Actually, the only reason they choose 1920x800 is because they can't do 1080p fluidly, that "cinematic" feel is an excuse. Yes, there is no other reason.
