looks like an import is in order like i did with ut3. only problem is stuff like servers (although i'm guessing they're worldwide) but sometimes have problems when various friends have diff regions due to patches etc and also whether dlc from the eu store would work with an american copy etc etc.
basically if i wanna play this on us release i will but just seems unnecisay. i mean the only reason eu games come out later than us is the language ffs. and we still have no idea when...

although that symbol is associated alot with the 360 since its on the front it is just the universal symbol for a power button. theres even 1 on ur ps3, i'm looking at 1 right now on my laptop.
so i'd actually rule out this meaning it will be on 360. it is very possible that they do multi play tho or do wot they did with 2 and bring out and add on type thing on the 360 (since they did back in the ps3/xbox days)

although some of your points make sence to me i don't really get others. you say its easy to see what someone has achieved e.g 1000 gamer point for completing all achievements in a game but then at a glance someone has 1000 points. does that mean they have 500 on 2 games, completed 1, played loads and got a few on each. - a ps3 platinum means they have all trophies for a game i.e. someone with 2 platinums u instantly know they have completed 2 games.

end of the day i didn't enjoy resitance:fom so not going to bother with resistance 2. gow 1 and 2 we're both gd fun but not as amazing as people make them out to be.
i wouldn't say it was a mistake for them to bring them in late. I think its jsut the way you worded it though :p but yeh they should have been in from the start. that way every game could have had them from the start obv but theres still plenty of years left in this generation of consoles so in a years time unless you're still playing ps3 launch titles there shouldn't be a problem :)
i'm looking frwd to seeing some gameplay of this. But what is it again. dlc for halo3 or a stand alone game? if its dlc then obv will just look like halo 3 but from the trailer it looks like a bit of a darker game but i imagine it will still have the kiddy feel of the halo series
its just cus the game gets boring fast. i still have my copy but aint played it in months and won't be buying this dlc. I imagine alot of people will have stopped playing a long time ago too and with this dlc still far away i doubt it'll make them wanna play again.

I (epic) fail to see the problem. It even says in the article how they are becoming mandatory in 09 anyway so it won't be a problem then. at the moment i buy games because i want to play them (obv), the game having trophies is just a nice bounus and something to keep you playing more than you might have done but as discussed all new games from 09 are going to have them anyway.
I actually like the trophy system more and it really wouldn't surprise me if they update the GS at som...
i'd say the 360 controller being better than ps3 is just a matter of opinion which like alot of content on sites like gt it is an opinion. I play my ps3 more than my 360 simply because i have more mates with ps3's but at the end of the day i use gt reviews 2 get a good idea of what the game is like, not to be like 'oh well they say they prefer this version'

luckily my 360 is only 2 years old (although its been replaced once before haha) so if it bricks my console then atleast mine is still in its warranty but it does seem dodgy that they release a massive update just after the warrantys run out on launch consoles. so far though (fingers crossed) i've had no major problems, just minoir things i'm sure will be fixed like the friends list freezing up for a short while
kinda didn't pay any attention after the line saying microsoft want you're money. well i wish they we're better made but that is a stupid statement when if any 360 owner gets the rrod 3 years (!!) after purchasing 1 then they are entitled to a replacement/repair.
Mines broke once and of course i was annoyed but i sent it of to microsoft in the box with the labels they provide and within about 2 weeks i had my console back with a 1 month gold subscription.

well i work in computing but enjoy gh and also play real guitar for fun. and thats the thing loads of ppl play real instruments but how many actually go on to make a career out of it. its a recreational hobby for millions but not a career (being in a band) so can i persue my chosen career path and play both video games and my guitar in my spare time chad, pls pls pls lol it's not like there's not plenty of upcoming talent and i dunno why he wants more bands cus it would knock nickleback down ...

surprised this got as high as 9 tbh. it is a gd game and is fun when played with friends. played the 360 demo with a few mates. but i'm surprised it only has 4 stages. i guess there will be dlc tho but doesn't seem great value for money when you compare it against other full priced games on the market. best bet is to buy it on pc since it will be alot cheaper than 360 and there will most likely be some decent mods out
well this generation there was a big focus on worldwide releases for games and enarly all games have been able to do that. Not a surprise though when you look at previous socom games and the gaps between american and eu releases, particulary socom 3 which was ridiculously late over here
to be honest unless you're doing a comparison like this there is no way you would pick up on these monor differences (and that only if u look hard). the main thing is that the game runs well which it does on both but i guess if people wish to debate which is better then fair enough cus its always gonna be like this lol
12-15 year olds shouldn't be playing violent games anyway... i imagine if you did it on someone who's 18+ there would be less effect. saying that i don't think it needs a study to realise playing a tense voilent game is more likely to get the blood pumping (their appeal) than playing a game like wii music
guess the prices differ over there but in the uk you can get a ps3 and 3 game bundle for £300 (lowest model) compared to the lowest 360 model which is £130. so thats £170 cheaper than the ps3 which is alot BUT is the lowest blu-ray player now as cheap as £130? yeh 2 years sounds more accurate. especially when you consider the gap between 1 and 2 was two years. altho even with a 2 year dev alot of people bashed it for not being much of a step up from the first. think they will take that on board though when developing the third.
