I'm not sure what it would gain by being 360/pc exclusive. The problem is I know a lot of fans would be hoping Splinter Cell went back to it's roots but decent sales figures for Conviction probably means another action game with stealth elements

That depends... in the UK you didn't need a deposit so I just pre ordered and cancelled later. They even sent me 2 codes, I presume by mistake. Then Microsoft sent me a 3rd code as a 'gift for a friend'
So in my experience it really wasn't much harder to get into the gears beta.

Yeh for me just Conquest done well i.e. BF2 style is enough cus every time you play that mode it's a different experience.
I'm worried how conquest will turn out though. I think the reason it didn't seem to work well on BFBC2 was yes the maps were large, but they only had 3-4 flags on them. Less flags just meant that there was less variety and it usually resulted in battled being fought over 'B'
So not only are they repackaging a 'bonus' game from Resi 4 + 5 but they are fully aware of what they are doing and thus are trying to minimise people buying the game for cheap pre owned.
Imo this tactic will decrease sales of new versions cus obv I can't speak for everyone but I would have thought this is the sorta game people would wanna pick up but only for cheap in a sale/pre owned

Currently playing the APB Reloaded beta and starting to get into it a bit more. I still think the balancing could be better as most pvp's end up with the other team being several times higher my teams rank and thus having better weapons and mods, but now i've got some better guns it's actually become quite an enjoyable free game to play with friends
psn is indeed slow but it's not bad if you have 50mb :D

The problem now is that ever since COD4 the formula really hasn't changed. For 4 years straight we've had a game that has been near identical, the unusual thing is though that with each year sales increase.
I can only presume that as the franchise became more and more popular it had a snowball effect where everyone was hearing about the game either from the media or their friends and so must have it.

360 easily wins based on the shadows/lighting. Not to mention in a game like F.E.A.R this is key. Will either change my rental order from PS3-360 or buy on PC when it's cheap

Seriously though I'm kinda sick of all these articles which are basically forum/community member posts. I like many do have concerns about BF3, my main being that the first mode they decided to show for mp is Rush which imo is no where near Conquest in terms of gameplay that sets BF apart from other games.
A clanmate recently got to play BF3 at an event in Sweden where he spoke to a DICE representative there and asked for any inf...
Or buy both consoles like most gamers lol

Although I do agree that there will always be camping, main reason imo is... people love K/D ratio's and by sitting in a camp spot are more likely to increase these. And COD's killstreak system encourages staying alive longer, easiest way to do that is avoid running and gunning since you're more likely to get shot from all angles.
