it looks solid, reminded me of luigi's mansion... but really, who wanted a game with toad as the main character? nobody. yes it might be harsh to write off the game but i think nintendo can do better.
it looks like they made mario 3d world, then made captain toad as an afterthought during the same development cycl...

is this a rebranding of the wiiu?
Nintendo U sounds a trillion times better, and its smart to drop the wii from the name so people arent confused. i hope the nintendo U is also redisigned to distance it further from the wii... at the moment they are practically identical.
i also hope the U is a lot cheaper.

@zodtheripper- given nintendo's current situation with the wiiu, giving away free boxed games isnt a bad idea.
i ordered a limited edition mario kart 8 game, but dont own a wiiu. so a download is completely and utterly useless to me. id rather have the physical game so when i eventually get a wiiu, i have the game at hand.
plus i dont like download, i prefer hard copy.

that's all i get here. called a troll and a hater when i am in fact a nintendo fan.
some people just cant handle any criticism leveled at nintendo, no matter how fair or justified they are.
it is well documented that nintendo have disappointed year after year at e3 for some time now. last year was an all time low with them barely even being there.
so personally, im not expecting much from them at e3 this year. peo...
and the problem with the 'oh but the wiiu has more than one great game anyway' excuse, is that none of those other great games saved the wiiu. so really, how great are they?
nintendo need to create an exciting line up, so potential buyers know there will be many fantastic games on the horizon. instead of a situation where one game is expected to sell a console and people have nothing but wiiu music to look forward to after. lame

we all know what it means because people use double negatives in every day life... its a casual/informal use of language. but its incorrect.
then again, i skimmed over another review of mario kart 8 where the term 'spastic' was used to describe the AI in mario kart wii...

you have to remember tht although mario kart wii was a massive success, the console also had an established, colossal user base. people were merely buying the next big software release for their console..
mario kart 8 doesnt have that foundation. so its purpose is to CREATE that user base. but are people going to buy wiius for mario kart ? im not sure.

i think it was good, just not the right type of trailer for nintendo's showreel.
they should have shown more little snippets of gameplay action. not a cutscene from what looked like the games opening sequence. random.
i'm still going to buy a wiiu for this game alone.
