Sega are the kings when it comes to disappointment.
Episodic games is risky when coming from Sega, they are known to not 'deliver the goods.' See Shenmue.
Knowing Sega, they will probably shelf Sonic 4 halfway through the episodic content, leaving you with a game that will never be fully complete.
Did Sega not learn from Shenmue? I don't see why they can't just release Sonic 4 as a complete game.
