HD gaming has been a staple of PC gaming for at least the past 10 years. I made my first rig and purchased my first LCD monitor in 2003 and was running all my games in what you would call HD.
Where the hell do you get your information from?
Please, PLEASE! Don't buy an Alienware unless you just have tons of money you can just throw around. Any PC marketed towards gamers is going to be massively overpriced. My advice is save a grand, build it yourself, and make it your own.
My best friend purchased my old video card off me (8800 GT 512 MB, I now rock a Radeon 4890 1gb). I also had an unused 400 watt power supply lying around from when I upgraded to a 700 watt that I gave him. In addition, he also bought 2 gb of ram to upgrade his celeron desktop (3.6 ghz... I know it sucks but it's not the first choice for me, i have a Q6600).
Well anyway, I installed all that for him and left him to his own devices as he was downloading Team Fortress 2 (legally fro...
Sure, it's a little more money than a console, but consoles, in my opinion, are kind of boring. The PS3 is pushing boundaries to an extent (for consoles) but everything else is just kind of stagnant.
I attribute everything I know about computers to PC gaming. And I think I'm pretty knowledgeable in the field because of it.
I only have fond memories of tinkering with my old low-profile gateway at 10 years old, sawing a hole in the case to get a graphics card to fit s...
No
BUT
If you have not yet purchased ANY Halo 3 map packs, I'd say it's well worth 60 bones.
I could think of more reasons than 10...
I'll still buy it, but personally, I prefer to use my brain more than my reflexes. I too am looking forward to Operation Flashpoint 2, It'll be amazing. Arma 2 was decent but not what I thought it would be...
Until I observed Crackdown occupying the #1 slot...
Should have been Infamous or Batman at the very least.
At least it wasn't prototype though...
Honestly, every CoD single player has been practically the same since the first for PC. They're all very formulatic. They're tightly scripted, and being so tightly scripted means there's only ever one way to go on a map, not multiple approaches or really any opportunities to flank at all. The enemies are all infinite, expendable, mindless killing machines and on the harder difficulties they're just super accurate infinite, expendable, mindless killing machines. I really hate having to advance...
It's my understanding that there can't be a "3d" tv. It has to do with it's refresh rate. Many newer tv's are coming out with a 120hz refresh rate which is the requirement for authentic "3d" games and images at home.
I agree completely.
And I actually like the ad a lot. It seems like they're new ad campaign is much different and much better! It made me laugh and I'm selling my PS3 60GB so I can buy a Slim.
Go Sony!
You hit the nail on the head, LMAO!
WOW, that's not even what the article was about. Way to reference sales there young one. Read my above comment, you fit into that demographic perfectly...
And even though your numbers are incorrect, it actually does confirm what the article says. Is it that unreasonable to deduce that the high price of the PS3 (at one point) made it accessible only to those a tad older with a higher disposable income? I'm sure your mommy bought you a 360 arcade and because of that you hate the co...
And I'm 21, Male, and college educated. Great demographic though, from what I've experienced I can confirm it.
The average Xbox live demographic is probably 17-20 year old high school dropouts who still live at home with mommy. (My younger brother actually fits into this demographic as do his Xbox live friends).
Guys, I'm a huge PS3 fan and I couldn't have agreed with this list more. Don't believe me? Read my blog and past comments.
I think they listed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 because of its PC counterpart. I have a gaming computer as well as a PS3 and Xbox, and I have to say, graphically, CoD 5 is a powerhouse. It's kinda fugly on consoles but the PC is where it truly shines, and I believe CoD 6 will be the same way.
They really should have specified PC version though...
Come on, we all know this. Microsoft's motto is Quantity over Quality, look at the RROD for petes sake!
And that's exactly what's happening to this game. It's a damn shame too, it could have been yet another great exclusive, not held back by anything, but greed won yet another round... like it always does.
Don't worry, we have games like Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 coming out, all fighting for the title of best graphics and gameplay. So in the end, our yet evolving ...
Why couldn't this have stayed exclusive? WHY GOD, WHY!!???
Obviously, it's being downgraded to play smoothly on a certain platform that I will not name.
It's a god-awful dirty shame that this had to happen because the game could have been spectacular.
Greed wins yet again. Quantity over quality. That seems like the path most multi-plat developers take now-a-days.
Imagine if the PS3 came out first??? Oh... the possibilities that could have...
I guess they left out Resistance 2. Those water effects were really impressive.

Stupid questions usually don't deserve a reply, but in this case I'll enlighten.
PS3!
