You're just a hater. They did that with the maps to discourage used sales. I've had almost every Battlefield since 1942 so please enlighten me as to how the games are released incomplete.
I think this is a brilliant move on every front business-wise.
The CoD map pack is being released that day for 800 (or 1200 knowing M$ & Activision) for essentially the same maps you have on CoD 4... Rip off.
Would you rather play a few new, fresh maps for free for a game that just came out? Or would you rather pay 800 (or 1200) points for two year old maps for a tired game you already played the sh*t out of anyway?

It's to discourage buying the game used, not to screw you or your little brother. Either pay $10 for the unlock or just buy the game yourself.

I've put a few hours into the beta and no matter how much I've tried, I just couldn't like it. It's like a COD knockoff with the high player count. It just doesn't feel right to me and there's no way to explain it. If you like it, great, but it's just not my cup of tea. I prefer Socom over it any day.
But please buy it. Zipper is a decent developer and hopefully they'll put the revenue made into a quality game such as a true Socom sequel.
Take off your fanboy goggles man, the game is horrendous. Everything the article lists is a valid point. The game feels more last gen than Halo 3 and looks just as dated. Just because it's an exclusive doesn't mean it's good.
Good PS3 exclusives: Uncharted 1 & 2, MGS4, Infamous, Socom (not initially), Resistance, GoW 3 and others
Bad PS3 Exclusives: MAG, Lair, Haze

It would be amazing only if they did it right. They would need a steady stream of new content and large scale battles with repercussions pertaining to each zone they're in. That's my dream game, and since cod's so damn generic, I don't see it happening. But if it did I'd gladly shell out $15 to $20 per month
MW2 is just not my ideal game. I consider the it fundamentally flawed in several aspects.
1. I like challenge. Since CoD 4, I just feel it's much too easy to get killed, and much to easy to get a kill. I feel that way because the weapons are way too accurate and they lack recoil. I'm a good shot in real life, but there have been times when using open sights that I aimed directly at a target and completely missed. It could have been from jerking the trigger too hard or from a who...

Hey, I actually own both an Xbox 360 (purchased an Elite today to sell a young tyke my launch 20GB cheap so he can game too) & PS3 so here's my perspective on the matter. I love them both.
I play certain kinds of games on each system. I play the majority of multi-plats action games on the Xbox because of achievement points, party chat, etc. There are a few exceptions and maybe its just me, but I prefer my racing games on my PS3. I've also picked up other games such as Batman...

As far as GOTY is concerned, they couldn't have picked a better game than Uncharted 2. If Modern Warfare 2 won I would have completely dismissed the entire show as a popularity ...

Since I sold my Modern Warfare 2 when Gamestop was still giving $40 for it, I'll have to miss the double xp weekend. Oh well... I'll just have to play Bad Company 2 instead.
