Most people are afraid to actually learn something new and would prefer to just slap a disc into a disc drive.
I actually buy all my PC games through Steam now. It's way more convenient.
It lets you download the game right to your HDD and lets you transfer your account and games to any computer ever. What's not to like?
I have a feeling most people don't like steam because it's an effective anti-piracy measure.
I've never stolen or pirated a video game and I never will. Scumbags that do should be castrated because they're hanging a terrible cloud over a once gre...
Open your eyes because you're obviously in denial. I'm sure you're just a kid, so ask your mommy for a PS3 this Christmas, you'll find you you're missing a lot...
What's going to happen when Sony finally implements cross game voice chat? It's already just about as good as live...
Unfortunately, I still pay for it too but if the price increases like predicted... Bye Bye Xbox...
Why is RE 5 in the picture for this article???
If anything it should be MW2 up there with UC2.
Dedicated servers have been a staple of online PC gaming. You meet up with friends in the usual server and have a blast. That's not possible with MW2.
I did plan to buy on both PC & 360, but since they're both basically the same now, I think I'll stick with the 360 version...
I've always hated guitar heroes. The drums never feel right, and according to my friend, neither does the guitar. The calibration is always funky and the animations haven't matured since guitar hero 3. They're still awkward looking guys making weird movements.
Harmonix just has an uncanny attention to detail. So what if they're not harder, I'd rather play the song how it is, not how the maker of the game wants it to be. It could be the best set list in the world but with Guitar ...
I actually like it a lot. It's a very accessible game but still takes some time to get used to. I'd recommend this game to anyone. By far the best combat sim on the market. Beats the hell out of ARMA 2, that's for sure.
Well worth $40. (pc version)
And get it through steam, it just downloaded a patch yesterday and the one bug that affected me is now gone.
I whole-heartedly disagree with this review. For a long time I wanted a game like Arma 2... but just a little more accessible. For Arma 2 I had to play with a notebook in hand to take notes on conversations and locations I should go to. That was the least user friendly game ever made in my opinion.
Flashpoint is very realistic, but very fun too. I haven't beaten it but from what I've seen so far, I like it a lot.
And a 7 for the graphics??? He definitely played a co...
If I had to guess, I don't think you guys have ever attended business school. It's very bad business to talk such sh!t on your competitors.
I remember an example last semester that dealt with how CEO's deal with their competition.
There was one CEO that felt if they weren't with him, they're against him. He would avoid them at golf courses and constantly through sh!t their way.
There was another CEO who socialized with their competitors CEO's and becam...
It's Gearbox who puts in achievements/trophies. Take off your fanboy goggles for once man. I love my PS3 too but hate on Microsoft for real reasons, not just blindly.
Reasons like:
4 broken xboxes (I'm on #4 now)
Overpriced Xbox accessories, DLC, and live subscriptions
Half games sold for full price
Holding back games (like FF13) from realizing their full potential.
They're all legitimate reasons for distaste.
Hating for...
And let the game speak for itself. It angers me when developers talk sh!t because 95% of the time they can't back it up.
Who cares about sales anymore. Sure they pad their numbers, but do you know how much that matters to me? 0 - nada - negatory - not at all.
Quality over quantity.
We all know where the GOOD games are so why do sales matter?
Killzone 2's intelligent enemies own the mindless drones in CoD.
But Killzone 2's multiplayer setup is very last gen. It's really frustrating picking through custom games to find the 'right one'. If they had a matchmaking system and more depth like CoD it could have been GOTY...
I said not open world, just more choice with interlocking scripting. It would lead to much replayability.
By more choice, I mean let there be the option of, say, 3 paths to take. The first path might see a plane fly overhead to the right, the second path might see that plane hit a building a to your right, and the third path might be you in the building just narrowly escaping disaster as the plane crashes in front of you.
That's what meant by less linearity. Open wor...
Ok... Because of your terrible grammar I really cant tell if your bashing or praising Uncharted 2, but if your bashing it, your not a gamer, your a fanboy because any gamer would be super excited for it.
And Brutal Legend also looks good. I love Tim Schaffer but I'm only renting it because I have a good few games to buy over the next 2 weeks. Uncharted 2 and Operation Flashpoint just to name a few.
They fix the 2 garbage details prevalent in every Call of Duty Campaign.
1.The absolute linearity of it must go. I'm not saying open world, and I'm sure it's hard with the amount of scripting present, but allowing the player multiple routes and maybe different scripted (though interlinked) events on each route would really spice up the gameplay and encourage multiple replays. Also, flanking needs to be possible and it's just not with how the campaign is set up. Heart of the Reic...
But it's not something I'm going to buy I don't think. Should be well worth a gamefly though.
I'm actually still pretty excited about this game. It looks like they're taking their time with it to make sure they do it right.
If a game is going to be good, I don't mind waiting for it as I'm sure it will be worth it. It's unfortunate that it's not coming out for PC but I'll still pick it up.
Quality over quantity. I wish Bungie took a little more time with ODST to make it worth it. I regret that purchase so much...
Yeah, I have both the Xbox & PS3 myself, but I buy 75% of my games for the PC. I just picked up Killing Floor this weekend and it's awesome, a game that would just never work on console...
I only use my PS3 for exclusives which are well worth incurring the cost of the console. I've never seen a game like Uncharted 2 ANYWHERE. Period. It's probably the best game I've ever played in my life.
I use my Xbox to play with my friends over Live. I use it for games like H...
