No Sh!t all we would be able to rent was PSN games. Did you really think they would have games like UC2 & MGS 4 for rent? Definitely not unless they implement cloud gaming which is unlikely.
I wouldn't put anything past Microsoft. I'm afraid they'll unveil Natal with a bang with tons of advertising and what not... And knowing the average mindless xbox user, tons will eat it right up...
This year looks promising for Sony, very promising, and I just hope they can keep up this momentum they've been gathering well into next holiday season, if so, they'll have a serious leg up on the competition.
I hate the whole motion control fad and hope it fades away befo...
...On steam. L4D 1 & 2, Bioshock, & Mass Effect just to name a few. I do my best to give Microsoft as little money as possible.
And yes, Valve may be a bunch of whiney fanboys, but Steam is hands down the best thing that has ever happened to PC gaming.
Yes, it has made a lot of money in the past but Tomb Raider is old news and there's now a new face on the scene, that's right, his name is Nathan Drake. The Uncharted Series is this generation's "Tomb Raider"
your short one line comment warrants bubbles. I'm playing through it now for the first time on PC and it really is the best Sci-Fi story I've ever experienced. The game has me mesmerized. I absolutely love it.
You're such a fanboy. I'm sure you've never even given the game a try so instead you just bash it...
If you've played it you'd never have spouted the garbage I'm responding to. Mass Effect is amazing, if you really hate the 360 that much get it for the PC, unless you're poor...
I was once like you, a devoted PS3 fan, but anymore I can care less. I can afford whatever system and game I want and most multiplatform stuff I buy anymore is for the 360.
I guess your forte is any game lacking story where you can just run around real fast and kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible.
I'm playing it on my PC now and I just can't stop. In the past week I've abandoned CoD and have put 25 hours into Mass Effect. I purchased it a few weeks ago when it was $10 on steam and I've never been happier with a purchase.
I originally passed on Mass Effect when it was first released but I regret that now. Bioware are the RPG masters this generation, I also purchased Dragons Age during the Steam Black Friday sale so I can't wait to boot that up as soon as I finish Mass Effec...
But just because you love a developer doesn't mean they should be immune to criticism. MAG is a disappointment to me and I just can't get into it. It's just a cod knockoff and is really not that much fun.
Why didn't zipper just make Socom 4 instead, WHY????
The Uncharted 2 beta was amazing and I couldn't stop playing it... the graphics were not choppy whatsoever.
I agree with you that it's disgustingly boring, it just doesn't hold my interest. I can play KZ2 for hours but I get bored (or frustrated) with MAG 20 minutes after getting into a game.
I wish Zipper made a true, next-gen Socom instead of this...
because almost everything is copied straight from CoD. From the point system to the controls, it all just screams CoD. I say it's a knockoff because it's nothing really original apart from the high player counts and chain of command.
It's a "cheap" cod knockoff because it doesn't have the level of polish in every cod game. The graphics are sub par for this current generation and abysmal when compared with other PS3 exclusives. It's also plagued by spawn killing and an ...
I have all the titles except for #1
The ones listed aren't 'that' hard, all except for #1
I got the 'all pro' one on accident, lol
No, extremely underwhelming. I love 99% of Sony Products and firmly believe that they hold the best exclusive games this generation, but from what I experienced in the beta, MAG is not one of them...
It feels like a cheap CoD Knockoff...
When I first saw this with Modern Warfare 2, along with the black & white 5 page manual, I thought it was just Activision using a new game box with less plastic to maximize profits.
Boy was I wrong \sarcasm
If Modern Warfare 2 actually had a decent plot like the author mentioned in his article, then maybe "No Russian" could have passed as an effective plot point.
Children of Men had terrorism in it, yes, but it didn't have a story that could have come from Tom Clancy's 1985 trash can.
No Russian was included for shock value alone and that is the reason why the media doesn't take gaming seriously as a storytelling medium.
I had the gamestop demo code from preordering it, will that still work? Maybe I'll give it another try tonight.
Did they implement regenerating health yet? In a game like this with this many people, I think it's necessary. In a game like Socom, it's great without it.
Yah...didn't see this coming...
Hopefully the entire game was changed from top down because I was utterly unimpressed when I tried it. Felt like a fake CoD knockoff...
That's what it's all about, paid DLC. Not about cheating or piracy, it's only about paid DLC because the only time paid DLC works is when implemented into a system such as IWnet.
Ever not get map packs in CoD 5 on Xbox? It says your name in big red letters at the bottom outlining that you did not buy the DLC, and if you want to continue to play with your friends, it just short of forces you to buy it...
You made me laugh, bubbles!
