There's pros and cons to each system. I respect your opinion Ben Dutka, the PSN has come leaps and bounds since day one, but it's still no Xbox Live. I own both consoles, and on PSN, the only game I've seen were everyone has a mic is Socom Confrontation. It's also the most vibrant community I've seen on the PSN. Why??? It's all about the mic.
The biggest misstep Sony ever had coming into this generation was not including a mic with the console, or even caring about it for 2 year...
That's the magic question, "Where's the mic?" Xbox live is so popular because it's much more social. I bought a launch xbox, and it came with a mic, as did every other xbox sku with the exception of Core/Arcade (does Arcade have one?).
I really, really, really, really, really wish people had and used mics on the PS3.
The problem wasn't only that they didn't package a mic in with the PS3, but it was that they didn't even have an official mic until last year...
I don't own a Wii, but I'm still real happy this game came out good. It had a lot of hype riding on it, and is another reason I'm seriously considering getting a Wii.
Keep 'em coming Nintendo, thumbs up.
enough said, infamous is WAY better. For some reason, I just couldn't get in to Prototype, I just didn't like the main character.
Wow, look at this f*cking troll above me. If it was unwanted it would have went the way of the Dreamcast a long time ago. If you want to play some good exclusives, other then the 2 franchises Microsoft loves to whore, cut grass, sell lemonade, blow a hobo, do whatever you have to and raise $399 for a real console that will actually work. When you get that console, buy 1. Uncharted, 2. inFamous, 3. Killzone 2, and 4. Metal Gear Solid 4.
See, I was once an Xbot too. Why? Well, mos...
I found out Gamespot f*cked me. I got it first day, there was nothing inside of the game. I'm happy infamous was awesome, or else I'd be really mad!
Since zipper is making it, expect the ranking & command system to be tight and user friendly. Hopefully it ships with a microphone so everyone can communicate like in Socom. That's vital to this game's success because, from what I can gather, teamwork is everything
Easy answer is, well, the majority of the gaming population is male.
And all that "they just don't have girlfriends" talk is bullsh!t. I have a girlfriend but love to look at other sexy women too.
I actually just bought the first ArmA yesterday on Steam (caution if you have 64 bit Vista getting this game, serious f*cking headache but I got it working) and already have the 2nd preordered and ready to download as soon as it comes out.
To put softly, THE GAME TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO. Very steep learning curve, and he wasn't f*cking around about the amount of controls, there's a lot, a hell of a lot.
With all that said, I'm still a military sim fanatic. I recent...
I'll still buy it, but that doesn't make me think it's not too soon for a sequel to the first.
A real sequel Valve should be working on is Half Life 2: Episode 3. That can't come out fast enough.
The mention of a dynamic level director. Instead of just routing the baddies a bunch of different ways, It'll change the level around with each play through, or that's how I understood it anyway.
That being said, the main reason I stopped playing L4D is because of the repetition. It seemed so fresh at first, but became tired to me faster than most games. Especially concerning the online multiplayer. It boggles my mind why they have 4 campaign scenarios but only 2 of which initial...
F*ck Sessler. His whiny opinions mean nothing to me and sure as hell won't influence whether I'll buy a game or not...
Unfortunately, honesty is rare in this industry, it's the name of the game...
BTW, I also agree with you 100%. That said, maybe they have something heavy lined up for L4D2. I really hope it surprises me like the original. What I don't hope for is it getting the "Call of Duty syndrome". When it comes out, I'm buying it for PC too. The support for TF2 by Valve is highly commendable, and based on that alone, I'll buy this game. But if L4D3 comes out a year later, I'll join...
It will have the American campaign set in Vietnam, the British campaign set in the Falkland Islands, and the Russian campaign set in Afghanistan. It follows more of a Cold War timeline as opposed to a Vietnam exclusive setting.
You must have a lot of time on your hands. Who cares if he posted on 15 Natal articles. Is it your problem? No. That's what I thought. Your post was useless just as this one is in pointing out your nonsense. Fangirl... (see avatar lolz jk)
As in the fact that Microsoft hyped their Unfinished Natal beyond belief and it was the talk of E3. That was why it was less flashy then the PS3 version which was simply announced. It may not look as nice, but I see more possibilities with Sony's product. They have only Shown Natal in optimal conditions. To amaze me, I would love to see this product in the middle of a busy family's living room, with mom, dad & the dog running around. Will Natal still work as shown??? I for one know no mat...
That the Milo demo was staged. The animations don't coincide with the motion. Seriously though, I would prefer 1:1 movement. The Sony motion control was less flashy, but more functional and was doing what the Wii was supposed to do from Day 1.
Gamers before Haters, I based this comment off observation, which is exactly what it is. I save my judgment until I play both...
If this isn't out for casual gamers only I don't know what is. You disappoint me Microsoft. I thought Natal would be the device for casual and hardcore alike, but I guess not.
WHAT!!! Disregard my bottom comment, I'm not buying this now, that's the only reason I wanted it... Tear :-(
And I think the commenter I'm replying too is full of sh!t. Xbox Live is much, much better than PSN. You really get what you pay for with xbox live. It's not just for playing games anymore, browse the dashboard, you'd be surprised by the amount of content available.
But with that being said, The PSN is still a half decent service, especially with it being free. It has GREAT games for download (FF7 anyone?), and hell, the price can't be beat. It does what it is supposed to do and...
