This! I'd maaaybe get her point if we saw other survivors make it to the police station and we were stealing directly from a first-aid box next to the emergency beds. But by the time Leon and Claire get to Raccoon City, they are the only few survivors remaining. They literally need those supplies to survive for even a few hours.
Half the cast look like a mix of Asian/white so that 'excuse' doesn't even fly.
True! I'm actually curious to know what they plan to do from the franchise from here. It would be interesting if they rebooted/remade the entire series, but altered the story later on so it doesn't get crazy like RE5 and RE6 did.
I don't know if Capcom would actually go to that effort, but it would be pretty cool if they did.
"I loved the fact that you were going up against corrupt corporations and government and going against a man who went mad and was going to try and destroy the planet. "
To be fair, that's also the plot of FFVI
I've seen most say each campaign is fairly short, around 7-8 hours rather than 10. Apparently a lot of the puzzles are similar to the original game so it's a lot easier for people who played the original.
I actually prefer his new backstory because it makes more sense. It makes sense to make him a guy who was waiting for his first day of work only to leave a little early to investigate why the police station suddenly stopped contacting him (only to discover the reason was zombies!), instead of just making him a guy who spent all night drinking and showed up to work hungover and late so he missed the outbreak.
The insta-fails are a big reason I didn't enjoy a lot of the main story stuff, and preferred side missions and doing my own thing. My first fail was one of the early missions where you have to ride a cart into town. I had almost made it to town, but got my wheels stuck on something small like a bush. "That's ok, I'll just reverse it" I thought. So I start reversing the cart, only for an insta-fail to pop up saying I couldn't move the cart (even though I could!) and i...
They're also really weird about showing kissing and sex on TV. I noticed that when I was in Japan. A lot of their TV dramas would have two people fall in love but never kiss, or if they did kiss it was really chaste. And you NEVER saw them lying in bed together. I was surprised at how conservative it was, considering all the stuff you hear about Japan.
It's sad when you think about it. I know so many good writers who are struggling to get a foothold in the industry and often resort to doing unpaid work just to get some exposure, yet so many crappy writers without even the most basic grasp of grammar or sentence structure manage to write for sites like this. It's insane.
I looked up some impressions on Reddit after playing the demo and I can't believe how many people are whining about the time limit. We're lucky we even had a chance to play the game in advance! A lot of games don't even have demos nowadays, and so many games don't even allow reviews to be released until the day it comes out. I'm just thrilled Capcom have enough faith in the RE2 demo that they think it will boost sales rather than put people off. I say they definitely succe...
Not to mention the game constantly giving you tutorials for EVERYTHING, which made it feel like the game thought I was an idiot. Which is a shame because I enjoyed the story. But I got sick of the game constantly pushing me in the right direction, instead of just letting me figure things out for myself and letting me feel accomplished.
Yeah it's good to see Ada looks more like her RE4 self again. She didn't look quite right in RE6 and I was worried Capcom would continue with that look in the remake.
Good to see the red dress is back too.
She looks better than she did in the Remaster, but I still miss her original face from FFX.
She had such a distinct and expressive face. Square seems to have forgotten that.
Exactly! Nobody likes his stuff because it was racist or sexist. They like it DESPITE the racism and sexism. Most modern games, movies and books that are based off HP Lovecraft's works ignore those elements (for obvious reasons).
Plus he's been dead for almost 100 years, so it's not like he's gonna profit off games like this. It's a bit late to take offence to a dude's work when he's been dead since the 1930s.
Detroit Become Human's voice acting was great (surprising for a David Cage game) but Bryan Dechart as Connor and Clancy Brown as Hank were especially amazing.
This is the scene it's from: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
The thumb nail is photoshopped for sure.
Spoilers-
I love how different everybody's playthroughs were. Instead of going into the kitchen, I went straight up to the rooftop at the Stratford tower so Hank and Conner find Simon hiding in the shed. Conner tries to probe his memory to find Jericho's location but Simon shoots himself first and Conner is traumatised because he felt Simon die through their link. It was probably my favourite scene in the whole game because the acting was so well done. Conner's shaky voic...
I didn't mind Markus (particularly the scenes at the start with Markus and Carl) but I think he could have been a background character and the story still would have been effective. Most of Markus's missions are linear and not much fun to replay on multiple playthroughs. Conner could have been the main character because his story had a proper arc and was more personal than Markus's was. Plus the detective missions were the best part of the game
It isn't a spoiler because it isn't a plotpoint at all. Not only can Hank and Conner's relationship wildly vary depending on how you play, but its never even a question in the game whether Hank considers Conner his son. Its fan speculation at best.
Exactly. The police station is the only safe house in the city and not a single person made it there! That shows how deadly and dangerous the outbreak is. There's no time to be polite. Its literally a matter of life or
