I have a gaming desktop but Mac Laptop. Can't wait to take my PC gaming mobile!
Thank you, Valve! Steam is a great service and availability on Mac is gonna be a true service to gamers on Macs everywhere.

Very excited for God of War III :D
and sometimes not. It simply depends on the changes made to the system. For example, I am thrilled that I own the original 60 gig PS3. Not only does it give me all the abilities of the new PS3 Slim, but I also still have TOTAL backwards compatibility. Oh, and putting in the 320 gig HDD was a good move too. :D
If Microsoft puts out a new 360 model I would love to see the tray removed. That thing is clunky and ghetto.
And how many women yell at the monitor like that?
Yes, I am an evil, heartless person. I don't care about tragedy at all and only want to punish "bad guys." All I care about is Halo; I never put an ounce of thought into any of societies woes or challenges. I am a mindless drone capable of only the most rudimentary understanding of common perceptions of "good" and "evil."
Or...
I simply have a different opinion than you do. And, heaven forbid, I might have even spent a great deal of ti...
I've only had one game with any of the troubles mentioned. I'm sure everything will be fixed soon enough, as trying as it may be for some.
Still loving Dice and dedicated servers!
This riled up over a video game? wow. Get a freakin' girlfriend, bro.
And beat them up if they cry.
I play on a gaming PC at home but have a new Mac laptop for work. I would LOVE to sneak in a game during lunch on my Steam account on my Mac.
Way to go Valve.
I loved both the previous installments (feel/atmosphere of the first and co-op of the 2nd) and can't wait for the newest installment. Insomniac is a fantastic dev and I can't wait to see where the story goes post Nathan Hale.
I think you are right...PC for sure.
In fact...I just bought it for PC :D Lookin' forward to getting my nerd on tonight!
After playing both the PS3 and 360 demos I noticed that the branches of trees on the 360 version have a somewhat strange, pixelated look to them. As the article refers to it: "A screen door dithering affect" as a "bandwidth-saving measure." At first I thought I was the only one who noticed it but Eurogamer saw it as well. I only bring this up because I am still seeing the same thing in this video. Pause it around the 23-second mark and you can see a good example of it. <...
Built a mega-gaming PC and honestly, it is an incredible step up in visual quality and game performance.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my consoles and there are some awesome exclusives on those platforms no one should miss. However, games available on PC almost universally look/perform better than their console counterparts. For Example:
L4D2 looked good on 360; it looked AWESOME on my new gaming PC. Why? Maximum settings on everything at higher than 1080p resolution....
The production costs of HD consoles and HD games are so much higher than the previous generation of consoles that the industry - on both sides - simply needs more time to get the return they need on their respective investments.
As for a Wii HD in the next 12-18 months...I'm not so sure. Obviously Nintendo will eventually move into the HD realm, but why do so when their current Wii - which is cheap to build and develop for - is still doing far better than the competition?
was such an unexpected direction to take. Rather than upgrade the systems capabilities at all, Nintendo simply made it bigger.
Now, bigger screens certainly add to the handheld's appeal, but it remains a merely cosmetic improvement.
on PC,PS3, or Xbox 360? Dice has done a great job on all three platforms.
I'm currently leaning PC.
Really looking forward to this.
Now, I love gaming on all three current gen consoles, but I certainly worry less about getting my PC fixed than any of the other platforms.
My PC will run it without trouble.
Anyone know if PC has controller support? I switch between keyboard/mouse and a controller all the time and prefer to have both options.
(and am even one of those few that actually likes Games For Windows Live) but I just can't help but think there is some bologna going on when a Microsoft site gives a Sony exclusive a score well below average. I mean, honestly? Imagine if Sony.com started reviewing games from the Halo and Gears of War series. Would they be as fair and open minded as they should? Ha!
My point is this:
Having Microsoft or Sony "review" each others products is the height of...
