It's a rip off but PSN still isn't as good, and it's not really a HUGE rip-off. You can get live for about $35 a year if you look around and often you can get a free live arcade game and some MS points as a re-up bonus. That's what I've done for the last two years. I've seen people pay for their live by doing Bing Rewards programs and crap like that.
Steam is better than live and free. PSN is not really a great way to play online. PS+ is great if you ...
Killzone 2 and 3 were beat a long time ago with Crysis 2, Rage, etc. That's on console. PC beat both games WELL before that.
PS3-tards have been embarrassing themselves trying say it is not so ever since.
Geez. He sounds depressed and unstable. He might need some time off and maybe he can see if Zoloft is right for him while he's out.
Wow. This game is really getting pummeled.
I'm more into Dahl but am willing to be won over.
" But was it a game that needed to be made?"
This is a stupid pointless unanswerable question that needs to be purged from so called game journalism forever.
Like it or not, no game needs to be made. None of them. At all. Ever. MGS 3:Snake Eater didn't need to be made. Balder's Gate II:Shadows os Amn didn't need to be made. Diablo II didn't need to be made. Bejeweled II didn't need to be made. Games are not made because the uni...
$35 to $40 a YEAR often with a free game or free MS points (or both!) thrown in which gets you weekly sales on some arcade titles or DLC,
versus
$15 a MONTH to essentially rent some old games and indy games with a few thrown in free here and there and sales on some PSN titles and DLC.
Whatever.
The big levels in Crysis were mostly wasted. They were just emptiness to get "sort of" lost in before you went back to where the encounter were. The vehicles were way too fragile to have much "halo/battlefield" style fun in. I preferred Crysis 2 for the most part. Crysis was really impressive as a great as tech demo but not so much as a shooter. Crysis 2 added a lot of focus. I was a bit saddened that they switched over to squids in suits hough. I wish they'd stuck to...
The Wii U has a 4 hour battery life at full capacity, and that full capacity degrades to around 70% after 500 charges and the thing takes over two hours to charge. Shane Satterfield said 2 and a half hours on the dot. You can buy extra batteries separately but need s screw driver to change them out. Recharge is with a mini-USB type cable. I'm not sure it's the vanilla USB mini adaptor and I don't even know if I can use it while it is charging.
Honestly I don't...
What a bummer. I wish more people had tried it. X-Com is one of my favorite games this year. Even at $60 it felt like a great value while I was playing it.
The economy sucks people are worried or don't have as much money for gaming. The whole market is contracting.
X-Com actually feels kind of like Mass Effect at times due to the music and the alien ships and bases and the armor.
I think a DL Mass Effect turn based squad combat game is a no brainer. Imagine calling in fire support from a tank or calling in a shuttle to exfil trapped troops.
Likewise I think another Fallout Tactics game would rock.
I've already pre-ordered a copy of Wasteland 2 and am thinking of getting the upcoming ShadowRun gam...
The Didact is awesome. Stylistically he's is basically a giant contemptuous space-vampire.
I didn't mind the knights so much. I just wish the weapons had a little more ammo for them lying around so you could use them longer. I felt like I was almost constantly switching weapons through the first half of the game.
I think it was originally developed as smartphone game.
Actually the 20 point birthday gift thing helped me break even and get rid of 10 points that I never would have got rid of otherwise.
Hmmm. I'd say that I like Halo 4 a lot but I'd also put Valkyria Chronicles ahead of Halo 4 (aside from Uncharted 2). That's in terms of single player fun.
The MP puts Halo 4 well ahead of UC2 and VC doesn't have MP(or coop). And UC 3 I enjoy the MP less than i did UC2.
I still think Halo3 was probably the most Gonzo fun Halo though the Flood hive levels weren't as fun as the rest of it, and some of the indoor levels were a little bit sad ...
I don't much care. I don't expect to buy a new console until 2015 or so. That's assuming they launch in 2013. I usually get them about two years in because the launch period is so lame. I got my 360 in the summer of 2005.
Actually CNN has the lowest viewership of the four major US cable news networks. Everyone else in the market is their biggest competition.
I early voted back on Oct 23.
I'm not buying an expensive console. In fact I'm probably not buying into next gen for a couple of years. I'll wait around 2 years and some price drops and minor improvements (an HDMI for 360, and restoring rumble for PS3), Just like I did with this gen.
