Saying the 360 can last another 5 years means no new console until 2015? NO. That just means that 360 can last another five years. It could have a successor launch well before then, (as soon as 2012). Did the PS2 last to 2010? Did that mean the PS3 didn't launch until 2010?

Untrue. The only thing it's not good at is d-pad fighters. Frankly, the DS3 or Sixaxis aren't very good at d-pad stuff either though they are marginally better than the 360 controller. At d-pad stuff that is/ A fightpad or fight stick is a way better option though.
So, explain the Nintendo Wii classic controllers then? Also Dreamcast only had one analog stick and was heavily based on the Saturn analog controller.

You hold a normal controller for aiming and movement and kinect does head tracking, AND you can do squad hand signals to get your AI buddies to flank or stay back.

They're jumping ship to multi-platform development. (Like ninja Theory and Insomniac did.) Virtually nobody is jumping to Sony exclusively. Agent is just Rockstar repaying Sony for bankrolling LA Noir and then having IT go multi-platform too.
We don't know what's up with Halo 4 period. Or a new Xbox for that matter.
The way things are going I wouldn't keep your hopes up for FF XIII VS. even coming out. If they don't think that it will be out in 2012 then something is very wrong with development of that games.
