Of those 150 candidates, only 75 were actually recruited (conscripted by force at a very young age) and secretly replaced by flash clones who would soon die of diseases making it appear that the candidates had gotten sick and died instead of being kidnapped by a military project initiated by a shadow government.
Of those 75 candidates, 30 died in the the augmentation process ...
Both Halo: CE and Halo2 WERE on the PC. And there was a free multiplayer Version of Halo for the PC as well. So where's all the extra "evolution" you thought would happen if it was on PC?

B312 is NOT Master Chief. Master Chief is a Spartan II and 40 years old at the time of Reach, and has been fighting or training since the age of six.
B312 is much younger and may be male or female depending on what the player chooses. That's why the character is so "top secret": so he/she will be both whoever you make him/her them into, AND expendable/disposable/undefine d so he/she won't turn up in any other stories. I hate to tell you this dude, but Killzone is pretty much just Aliens Marines vs. Jin Ro Panzer cops in WW2 style warfare. There's really nothing original there.

Well Reach is like the Alamo or Masada or Cleopatra. You sort of know broadly how it's going to end and it's the getting there that's fun.
But if it makes you feel better according to the books some of the Spartans survive by hunkering down in the forerunner ruins on Reach which the covenant do not glass.
