And I have to go to work. But the difference is that Microsoft doesnt make you buy HD-DVD. It's optional, and Toshiba and the HD-DVD consortium gets the royalties. Microsoft chooses to support HD-DVD over Blu-Ray. But Microsoft didnt make its consumers support HD-DVD. Its not necessary for games , and in the end if Blu-Ray wins, they can just release an external Blu-Ray add on drive instead.

You guys hung on Sony's every word. You bought into the 4D Blu-Ray 1080P HDMI hype. I hope Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Warhawk are all good games. I dont want any of you guys to hurt yourselves. But just in case these games get average or poor reviews, or dont live up to the hype, just remember there is always the 360. It costs less, has superior online, better multiplatform games, and has the best library of games for all the next-gen consoles.
Doesnt also have big exclusive movie studio support? It hurts both formats. It hurts consumers. It hurts the adoption rate of high definition movies on disc. Makes me hesitate to buy any high def movie till a proven format standards has been established.
